With the rapid development of Internet technology in the field of education,more and more attention has been paid to the study of learners' learning behaviors in the learning process.Cognitive style is an important factor affecting learners' learning behaviors.Because cognitive style is the habitual behavior pattern that individuals exhibit in cognitive processes,it can reflect the differences of individual activities.The learners with different cognitive styles show different characteristics of information processing in their learning process.Combining with the characteristics and teaching status of programming courses,this thesis studies the following two aspects: one is the impact of code visualization on learning effect,the other is the relationship between different cognitive styles and learning behaviors in the code visualization environment.In this study,twenty four subjects who met the experimental needs were selected through Embedded Figures Test.The EyeLink 1000 Plus eye tracker was used to record eye movement data learned by the subject in both code visualization and non-code visualization environments.And after the experiment,the subjects were tested.Mann-Whitney U,heat map,gaze plots and lag sequence analysis methods were used to analyze the subjects' test scores and eye movement data.The results show:(1)In the two environments of code visualization and non-code visualization,there were some differences in test scores,total fixation time and fixed fixation duration of the subjects.Compared with the non-code visualization environment,the subjects in the code visualization environment had higher test scores,shorter total fixation time and longer fixed fixation duration.Visualization is helpful for students to acquire and learn the knowledge of programming courses.(2)In the code visualization environment,there are some differences between the Field Independence(FI)and Field Dependence(FD)cognitive styles,such as thermal maps and gaze trajectory maps.The distribution of gaze points in FI is relatively centralized and regular,while FD is relatively scattered.Group subjects of FI are good at using more advanced learning strategies,namely metacognitive strategies,in learning programming courses.(3)The differences of visual behavior patterns between the tested FI group and the tested FD group can be seen from the behavioral sequence transformation diagram.The FI group and the FD group have different visual behaviors to the book concept knowledge provided,and they have different visual control behaviors after leaving the learning screen.
