With the curriculum reform of basic education,educational informatization has been deepening.As a new learning resource,micro courses have brought great changes to the traditional courses and gained widespread attention in the education sector.At present,there is a mass of micro courses on the Internet,however,a limited number of them can be applied to the actual teaching and learning environment.The whys and wherefores of this phenomenon are that the majority simply choose one point to make a micro course,which makes the knowledge fragmented and unconnected overall.These micro courses are hardly to be conducive for students to review and consolidate after class,and moreover,they are hardly to be conducive for students to serialise and integrate the knowledge on a certain topic or unit either.Thus,it is difficult to achieve a complete knowledge building and skill formation by existed scattered micro courses.Serialised micro courses could help students build a framework of knowledge and achieve knowledge integration.Serialisation can do favour to deepen and improve the study of micro courses,change students' learning methods to further develop their self-learning and inquiry ability,as well as improve teaching efficiency through systematically consolidating and reviewing.The research on serialised micro courses is in its nascent period,with a lack of studies about the combination of serialised micro course and actual teaching,as well as detailed development and application methods of serialised micro courses.Therefore,this paper proposes a development and application mode of the serialised micro courses,A Case Study of Serialised Micro Courses of Climate.In this case study,this paper makes a combination of the curriculum standards,discipline accomplishment of geography and a survey on students' learning difficulties,then,topics are chosen by refining theories and knowledge points.According to the function of micro courses in teaching,a classification and its corresponding development skills are presented in this paper.Following the principles of miniaturization,interest,unity and continuity,this paper puts forward the micro course plan,micro courseware,task list and micro-evaluation of the climate serialised micro course.Six micro courses are developed,which are 1.Reading Climate Histogram,2.Colors in Autumn,3.World Climate Distribution,4.World Climate Influencing Factors,5.Climate Impacts on Humans(student's self-made micro course),6.World's climate knowledge extension.The climateserialised micro courses are applied to the actual teaching through the pre-study,in-class study and post-class consolidation,and the implementation effects are analysed from the three aspects of geographic discipline accomplishment training results,questionnaire survey results and test results.The results show that applying the serialised micro courses in practical geography teaching do favour to train geographical literacy,stimulate learning interest and improve teaching efficiency in class.
