History is a discipline to study the past human production activities.Historical mate rials are the carrier of history.To learn history,we must understand historical events a nd historical phenomena by reading historical materials,and understand the law of its development.The purpose of this paper is to explore how to cultivate the reading abili ty of high school students' historical materials through the investigation of the present situation of reading historical materials.In the stage of quality-oriented education,the cultivation of reading ability is the b asis of cultivating students' ability.In history teaching,the cultivation of reading abilit y of historical materials has become an important task for front-line teachers to cultiva te excellent students.The cultivation of reading ability of historical materials is helpfu l to the formation of students' view of history and promote the development of student s' ability of thinking about history.This paper mainly focuses on the reading of histori cal materials,through the establishment of questionnaires,test papers and interviews t o test and investigate,analyze the current situation and existing problems of reading a bility of senior high school students' historical materials,and make classroom observa tion at the same time.To understand the guidance of teachers on students' reading of h istorical materials.On the basis of consulting a large number of documents,combined with the author's own experience of study and teaching practice,this paper puts forwa rd some meaningful suggestions for the cultivation of reading ability of high school st udents' historical materials.The author believes that the cultivation of reading ability of historical materials is a long-term process.In order to cultivate good reading habits it is necessary to have scie ntific reading methods and learn reading skills on the basis of clearly recognizing the meaning of historical materials reading.Through the investigation and the test,the aut hor finds that the senior high school students can't read the historical materials and are afraid of the historical materials.Based on the present situation,this paper puts forwa rd some suggestions on reading the historical materials from the angles of inside and o utside of the classroom and the practical solution of the problems,and so on,and some suggestions are put forward for the reading of the historical materials.And uses the r elevant case to carry on the analysis explanation.First of all,teachers should make ful l preparations before class,select historical materials correctly,and mobilize students' enthusiasm for study;secondly,they should guide students in combination with the tra ining methods inside and outside the classroom,and carry out two-pronged approach;Finally,teachers should guide students to summarize the methods of reading historical materials in the exercise class,so as to achieve the same results when they meet other similar problems.This kind of reading can not only improve the rate of historical data interpretation,but also give consideration to the cultivation of all aspects of ability,a nd then improve the ability of students to understand history and the law of social dev elopment.
