Thoughts And Practice Of Adventure Education's Intervention In Teenagers' Growth Problems

In recent years,there have been adversities in the practice of solving problems of teenagers in the social work field,and it is urgent to introduce new theories and methods to China.The concept of Chinese“??(Adventure)”was brought in from the western countries.“Adventure”means stimulating personal potential and improve the team spirit by guiding participants to experience feelings.Although“Adventure”is an important innovation in the field of social work practice,it has been doubted a lot in the process of localization,and this is why China still remains at the starting period of the applicability of the“Adventure education”.According to the process of social work intervention and taking the growth of young people in M community,Shenzhen City,as an entry point,this paper first introduces the development of the concept“Adventure”and its localization,and then explains the necessity for“Adventure intervention”by analyzing the data from the current situation of the community,parents'needs,teenagers'needs and interviews with important people.Then,based on the evaluation of the integrity and effectiveness of the many currently successful case of Adventure Groups,combined with the theory of social work,we integrated and innovated the content,process and form of the Adventure Groups,and we explored and practiced Adventure in this M community in the form of groups.Finally,by data showed from the satisfaction surveys,the social worker observation forms,the social worker summary forms,the comparison forms of interviews of the important people before and after“Adventure”and others,we evaluated the effectiveness of the Adventure Group,and we found that Adventure did exert some influence on solving problems appeared in the growing path of teenagers.At the end of this paper,we did some professional reflections on three aspects:social work itself,the whole process of our activities,and our thoughts about the development in the future.And then combined with the group practice and the result of reflections,this paper brought forward many optimization suggestions such as Chinese government should pay attention to the development of“Adventure”,deepen the exploration of“Adventure”,cultivate professional people with the skills of“Adventure”,and popularize and apply the ideas of Adventure in many fields.
