Specific physical fitness training is now considered a sum of speed,strength,endurance,flexibility,agility and coordination required by athletes to complete specific competitions.Related researches of competition and practice of handball training both at home and abroad show that Chinese handball players lack high strength antagonism when facing European and American athletes,especially lack of the ability to move and sprint repeatedly and quickly,as well as the ability to complete effective attack and defense under such strong antagonism.As a traditional strong handball team in China,Jiangsu men's handball team has made a beneficial attempt in the aspect of special physical training.The present study investigated special physical characteristics of high-level handball players,and the target,content,method and training load arrangement of special physical training for Jiangsu men's handball team in the preparatory period,pre-competition intensification period and competition period for the 2017 National Games by means of literature review,data statistics,expert interviews and questionnaires.The main conclusions are as follows:1.Special physical fitness training is the application of sports techniques,tactics and competitions.The special physical fitness training of elite handball players includes these five items:30 meters return dribble,3 meters start run,handball throwing,6 minutes running on full power and 1 minute handball hit.2.The s1ecial physical fitness training in the preparation period mainly includes area 1 VS 1 attack and defense,Physical antagonism training,Passive defensive shooting,antagonistic defensive shooting,and strength training simulating actual combat,such as ball-free antagonism,upper limb antagonism strength,foot movement,jumping and dodging.Continuous training method combined with intermittent training method is adopted to design the overall strength above medium level.3.The special physical fitness training in intensive period aims at the adjustment of competitive state.Through 90%maximum oxygen uptake endurance training,muscle endurance,explosive force,speed endurance,physical confrontation,attack and defense attack speed,opposing shooting,full-court return ability,half-court sprint,diversion ability and anti-interference training,the training method of simulating the main opponents'competition is adopted.The total amount of training in these five weeks reaches the maximum level.4.The special physical fitness training during the competition period aims at maintaining good competitive condition.The main contents are activation before the competition,shooting practice,core and complex capacity,counter shooting,shooting,speed,skill and cooperation,and full-court confrontation training.Adjustment training method with less intensity is adopted.
