Primary school,especially the senior grade of primary school,is the basic stage of children's thinking development.The cultivation of critical thinking enables children to lay a foundation in understanding information,making analogies,formulating hypotheses,and proposing problems and solutions before entering junior and senior high schools.The introduction of critical thinking in senior Chinese reading in primary schools has become very common in basic education in western countries.The application of critical thinking mode in Chinese reading means that in the teaching of reading,it is no longer limited to the understanding of words,words and sentences,but to cultivate students' curiosity and spirit of inquiry,so that students have the ability to think independently,reflect and question in the process of reading,and make judgments and conclusions on the reading content under rational analysis.Guide students to read with an active attitude,multi-level and multi-angle perception of the reading content,and the understanding of the content with critical awareness.The application of critical thinking mode in primary school senior grades makes the thinking quality of primary school students be exercised in all aspects.However,in China,there is still a lack of research on the application of critical thinking in primary school education,and the application of critical thinking in primary school basic education,especially Chinese reading,has not received enough attention and popularity.This information age requires that our educators should not just rely on cramming to improve students' ability,but also let students have the quality of active thinking and dialectical thinking.This article from the new era under the background of the new social demand for talents cultivation,combining the practice of domestic and foreign achievements and research found that delve into the elementary school higher grades in China in the Chinese reading education to the feasibility of critical thinking training,and the present situation of Chinese reading education in the elementary school higher grades in China,discusses how to cultivate elementary student's critical thinking in Chinese reading.This paper is divided into four parts:introduction,mainly introduces the origin and importance of the thesis,introduces the research methods used in this paper,and sorts out domestic and foreign literature and other research materials on critical thinking and Chinese reading teaching.The second part analyzes key words such as critical thinking,senior primary school students and Chinese reading teaching.The main content,characteristics and evaluation criteria of critical thinking are discussed,and the feasibility of critical thinking cultivation is analyzed by combining the characteristics of senior primary school students and Chinese reading.The third part,through questionnaires,interviews,classroom observations and records,summarizes the current situation of the cultivation of critical thinking in the teaching of Chinese reading in senior grades of primary school,and expounds the reasons for the lack of critical thinking in Chinese reading in senior grades of primary school.The last part,combined with teaching practice,puts forward Suggestions and methods to cultivate critical thinking in the teaching of Chinese reading in senior grades of primary schools.It includes cultivating students' inquiry spirit and problem consciousness;Optimize teaching methods and learning tools,and teach thinking methods;Change the role of teachers and improve their awareness of critical thinking;Create an open teaching environment.
