"number sense" is one of the ten core concepts that junior high school students must master,which is emphasized in the new curriculum.The sense of number is the intuition of individual logarithm and the general understanding of logarithm and number operation.Moreover,this intuition and understanding are applied flexibly to the combination of various abilities in the problem of numbers and operations.Establishing the sense of number is helpful to improve the students' mathematics accomplishment and help them to deal with the actual life better.On the basis of sorting out the domestic and foreign literature,this study makes a survey on the relationship between the seventh grade students' sense of number and cognitive style,and draws the relevant conclusions.On the whole,students' questionnaire scores are low and the level of number sense is weak.From the results of the six dimensions of numeracy,Students are better at understanding of the meaning and size of numbers,The second is Understanding and use of equivalent representations of numbers,understanding the meaning and effect of operations,understanding and use of equivalent expressions,The two worst performing dimensions are flexible computing and counting strategies formental computation,written computation,and calculator use,Measurement benchmarks.The first five dimensions are asked according to the number of four categories that junior high school students are often in contact with.They are decimals,fractions,percentages,integers.Students do well in decimals and integers,average performance in percentage terms,the worst performance in score.The Cognitive Styles of Grade 7 students tend to be Field Dependence,There was no significant difference in cognitive style between boys and girls.There was significant difference in scores of number sense between the Field independence--Field dependence two cognitive styles.The number sensitivity of Field independence was significantly higher than that of Field dependence.6 recommendations based on findings:Arranging the Teaching of Numeric sense knowledge.Develop the ability to estimate.Strengthening the Teaching of scores andimproving students' understanding of scores.Pay attention to connecting with actual life and improve students' ability to solve practical problems.Pay attention to individual differences and teach students according to their aptitude.Pay attention to the communication between teachers and students,cultivate students' ability of expression.
