Biology is a natural subject closely related to daily life.It not only helps improve students' biological Core Competencies and Values,but also lays a foundation for students to enter the society and adapt to the society in the future.The school that the writer works is a newly established high school with poor enrollment.The teachers are young;the teaching experience is few;the students' study enthusiasm is not high,and they are in the passive study condition;the teaching effect is not good.Therefore,looking for a teaching mode which can motivate students' learning enthusiasm has become a key problem that the school urgently needs to solve.The Three-step and Five-link Teaching Mode includes pre-class preview,in-class exploration and after-class standard test,as well as pre-class measurement,independent learning,cooperative exploration,intensive teaching and in-class training.The purpose of adopting this teaching mode is to motivate students' learning enthusiasm and improve teaching efficiency.In this paper,The Three-step and Five-link Teaching Mode is adopted and studied for one semester in the experimental class,and the traditional teaching mode is used in the control class.The experimental results showed that the students in the experimental class were significantly better than those in the control class in terms of biological performance and autonomous learning ability.The research of this paper consists of the following five parts: Firstly,through my own classroom observation and interview,I learned the teaching problems of biology in my school.Secondly,according to the requirements of the new curriculum reform on biology teaching in senior high school,I collected some relevant concepts,research progress at home and abroad and theoretical basis of this paper through literature review.Thirdly,by using the theory of self-learning education and referring to the excellent questionnaires,the biology self-learning ability questionnaire of senior high school was designed independently.Then fresh students of two classes who just entered senior high school were tested and compared before and after the test.Fourthly,the biology knowledge papers of junior high school and the final biology papers of the first semester of senior high school were used to test the biology scores of the experimental class and the control class,and the grades were also compared before and after the test.Fifthly,the teaching cases of The Three-step and Five-link Teaching Mode are compiled and used in the experimental class.
