Background:The combination of badminton forehand clear,drop and smash in backcourt is one of the main means to gain scores.The more similar they are in setup,the better shot effect and tactical purpose would be.This feature makes it difficult for people to improve their technology.The existing research primarily selects by larger joints to make an analysis,such as shoulder,elbow,wrist,hip,ankle and knee.The analytical points of hand are almost on the back of the first phalanx of the middle finger ouly,it cannot be discussed details about each finger for lack of information.Therefore,we want to know the motion characteristics among each finger,then provide references for the precise movements of finger.Methods:In this study,we use a motion capture system based on IMU to track how fingers perform during athletes executing forehand dear drop smash in backcourt.It mainly focused on the metacarpophalangeal and proximal interphalangeal joints of thumb,index finger,middle finger,ring finger and little finger.Then discuss the kinematic character of motion characteristics of our elite in different technical motions.Results:According to one-way analysis of variance,clear,drop and smash exist obvious differences in angle of the proximal interphalangeal joint in ring finger(F=4.920,P=0.013),the metacarpophalangeal joint in index finger(F=3.546,P=0.040)and the ulnar of radiocarpal joint(F=5.894,P=0.006),and the angular velocity of the proximal interphalangeal joint in middle finger(F=6.253,P=0.005),the proximal interphalangeal joint(F=4.657,P=0.017)and the metacarpophalangeal joint(F=3.732,P=0.035)in ring finger during the backswing.During the swing to hit the ball,it exists obvious differences in the action time(F=3.607,P=0.038),the angle of proximal interphalangeal joint in ring finger(F=5.227,P=0.011)and the angular velocity of metacarpophalangeal joint in index finger(F=2.599,P=0.090).During the follow-swing,it exists obvious differences in the angle of proximal interphalangeal joint in ring finger(F=5.342,P=0.010)and little finger(F=3.724,P=0.035).Conclusions:The state of grip of badminton forehand clear drop and smash go with loose-tight-loose.The experimental results show that clear has very high similarity to drop in the power of grip,by controlling the buckling speed of different fingers to make different shot technology.The power of grip of smash is larger than clear and drop.The state of grip is looser and the angle of wrist is bigger during backswing in smash.And the smash has stronger rhythm of shot.
