The communication of Dewey's educational thoughts in China has experienced three important stages:in the 1920s and 1940s,Dewey's theory became the mainstream educational thought of the New Culture Movement,and the education sector held a firm and positive attitude towards it;20th Century 50 From the 1970s to the 1970s,due to the political situation of the stiff East and West and the increasingly fierce domestic class struggle,Dewey's educational thoughts were neglected and abandoned,and even some radical Marxists slammed his educational theories with resentment;In the 1980s,with the advent of reform and opening up,China's political situation gradually stabilized,and the education community began to re-examine Dewey's educational thoughts,and conducted a calm and objective analysis.Dewey' s educational philosophy of“education is life”,“education is growth”and" child-centered”advocates adapting to children ' s nature,cultivating their autonomy,and exerting different personalities and interests of children.Teaching is a joint activity of teachers and students.Emphasize the educational concept of equality and democracy.Advocating students to learn in practice,attaching importance to the connection between education and life and society,etc.,all have positive significance and open a door for modern education.However,Dewey' s educational thoughts also have certain drawbacks:First,Dewey' s educational thoughts are nourished in capitalist society,and their understanding of society is contrary to Marxism.Secondly,these educational ideas are not in line with China' s national conditions.And the place where the national psychological habits;once again,excessive emphasis on child-oriented,while ignoring the leading role that teachers should have,and so on.It can be seen that we should critically inherit and develop Dewey's educational thoughts.We analyze and study the influence of Dewey's educational thoughts on the reform of Chinese language education in the past.We want to put some good experiences,some reasonable and scientific ones in Dewey's educational thoughts.The viewpoint is applied to the current Chinese teaching,and some auxiliary thinking is put forward on the reform and development of Chinese language education.The full text is divided into four parts.Chapter One Introduction.In the introduction part,the research background,research significance and research methods of this thesis are mainly introduced.The second chapter:the influence of Dewey's educational thought on Hu Shi and Tao Xingzhi's Chinese education thoughts.Before Hu Shi and Tao Xingzhi,Cai Yuanpei and Huang Yanpei had already paid attention to the significance of Dewey's educational thoughts,but their foothold was in the macro education of China.Hu Shi and Tao Xingzhi began to pay attention to Dewey Education.The application of ideas in language education.The third chapter:the influence of Dewey's educational thoughts on the reform of Chinese education in the Republic of China.The main influences are:the formulation of the "School of Education";the setting and content setting of the national language curriculum of the Chinese curriculum reform;the"enlightened Mandarin textbook" for the reform of Chinese textbooks;the theoretical research and experimental reform of the Chinese teaching method.Chapter Four:Based on the analysis and evaluation of the influence of Dewey's educational thoughts on Chinese education in the Republic of China,it is useful for us to consider which viewpoints and methods in Dewey's educational thoughts can be used.
