Research On Typical Non-mainstream Cultural Phenomenon In College Student Groups

In the new historical background,social development tends to be more diversified,which promotes cultural prosperity.Currently,cultural diversity has become a contemporary feature of times.The complex cultural environment and social thoughts have brought new challenges to the ideological and political education of colleges and universities.General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: "The prosperity of a country and a nation is always supported by cultural prosperity.Without the inheritance and development of civilization,there will be no cultural promotion and prosperity,and there will be no realization of the Chinese dream." In order to follow the development path of socialist culture and promote the development of socialist culture and prosperity,it is necessary to strengthen the construction of mainstream culture,promote the main theme,and spread positive energy.In this process,the university culture which undertakes the function of educating people plays a vital role.There are both mainstream and non-mainstream existed in the university culture throughout the history,especially in the current pluralistic and open cultural environment.Non-mainstream culture,contrary to the mainstream culture,has become an inevitable part of college culture.The prevalence of typical non-mainstreamcultures are represented by the "awkward culture","mourning culture",and "Buddhist youth".They have posed new challenges to the mainstream cultural construction in colleges and universities and also affect the development of college students' ideas which should be actively respondedThe thesis intends to deeply study the typical non-mainstream cultural phenomenon in the contemporary college student population includingsummarize its manifestation,analyze its causes and impacts,in order to propose corresponding guidance to improve the timeliness of ideological and political education in colleges and universities for the healthy development of positive values conveys among college students.This article is divided into five parts.In the first part,research purpose and its significances are proposed after a through literature review among both domestic and worldwide studies.Besides,the research background is also introduced via combining current domestic situation and the development of non-mainstream culture in colleges and universities.The second part gives the definitions of relevant concepts and analyze the characteristics of mainstream and non-mainstream cultures in colleges and universities.In addition,the connotation of culture,the connotation and characteristics of college mainstream culture,and the connotations and characteristics of campus non-mainstream culture are also elaborated in details in this part.The third part enumerates three types of typical non-mainstreamcultural phenomena in colleges and universities,which are "awkward culture","mourning culture" and "Buddhist youth".Their specific performance and impact on college students are explained.The fourth part is to analyze the causes of typical non-mainstream culture from the aspects of college students' group intrinsic factors and social environment factors.Based on this analysis,the realization path of colleges and universities to deal with the challenges of typical non-mainstream culture under the new situation of universities is proposed in the fifth part.The corresponding strategies from the four aspects is suggested including the establishment of socialist core values,strengthening the construction of mainstream culture among colleges and universities;building an integrated education system and optimize mainstream culture propaganda via convergence media platform.
