The solid geometry is important parts of mathematics course in senior high school,which is composed of complex theorems and formulas in quantity that needs to be memorized.Many students only learned the formulas by rote,but they cannot flexibly apply it to solve problems.Accordingly,fascinating creating situations in the teaching of solid geometry facilitates students to comprehend,memorize theorems and formulas.Furthermore,it also can contribute to motivating students' interest in learning,so that induces students to actively participate the process of acquiring knowledge.In creating situations,I can develop abilities of students to find,to raise,and to tackle problems.It could be conducing them to solving practical problems via application of what they have learned.To create situations in the teaching of solid geometry,the more important purpose is to cultivate students' abilities of logical deduction and intuitional imagination.The research of this paper consists of six parts.The first and second parts mainly represents the background and introduces the concepts and theoretical foundations of creating situation of solid geometry in mathematics course of senior high school.This study based on the constructivism,situated cognition and learning theory,and zone of proximal development theory.The third part is a questionnaire survey and interview on the present situation of creating situation in solid geometry teaching.At first,we analyzed solid geometry content including that which chapters containing solid geometry in the textbook and what specific contents in these chapters.The main conclusion is that most teachers are still realize the importance of creating situations in solid geometry teaching,but the creating situation is hard to application as a result of that more time to prepare lessons,the difficulty of controlling time in the classroom,and teachers feel that there are too single source of situation materials and few cases of teaching guidance to widely apply the creating situition of geometry in teaching.Considering these problems,we proposed some solutions in the fourth and fifth parts.The fourth part introduces the principles and strategies for creating situation in solid geometry teaching.The following six principles are used in creating situation: heuristic,intuitive,life,interestingness,dynamic,and inquiry.There are five strategies for creating situation: series question situation,actual life situation,hands-on situation,multimedia technology situation,and analogy situations.And I have categorized knowledge points of solid geometry according to suitable for situations,and provide some brief examples.In addition,all knowledge points in solid geometry are classified,and each of them is suitable for which situations.The fifth part is the author's teaching practice.The practice shows that creating situation in the teaching of solid geometry can change students' attitude and arouse students' interest in learning.The sixth part is conclusion and discussion including that the main findings and shortcomings in this study as well as suggestions for teaching.
