The Relationships Among Self-Accept,Comprehend Social Support And Well-Being In Middle School And Its Educational Enlightenment

Middle school students are in the stage of rapid physical and mental development and are facing great academic pressure.It is especially necessary to pay attention to the mental health of middle school students.Self-acceptance,as a component of self-consciousness,is an important factor that affects the mental health of middle school students.Well-being,as an important research content of positive psychology,has always received much attention.Its main connotation refers to the good state of mental function,which is closely related to mental health.At the same time,this study introduces perceived social support as an intermediate variable to further explore the internal relationship between self-acceptance and well-being.In order to understand the status of self-acceptance,social support and well-being of middle school students,and the differences in demographic variables,as well as the relationship between the three,this study used the questionnaire method,which contains the self-acceptance questionnaire,the perceived social support scale,and the adolescent happiness scale,to survey 1266 middle school students in Kaifeng,Zhengzhou,and Nanyang.According to the research results,from the perspective of school and family,we can provide more methods and ideas to promote the development of middle school students' physical and mental health.Through a statistical analysis of data,it is found that:First,the self-acceptance of middle school students is at a moderate to lower level.Specifically,the self-acceptance of female students is significantly lower than male students.The self-acceptance of students in villages and towns is significantly lower than in cities.The self-acceptance of students of senior one,senior two is significantly lower than that of senior three,and the self-acceptance of students whose parents work outside is significantly lower than those whose parents do not work outside.Second,the level of middle school students perceived social support is above the average level.Specifically,the perceived social support of male students is significantly lower than female students.The perceived social support of students in villages and towns is significantly lower than in cities.The perceived social support of students of grade two is significantly lower than that of grade one and grade three.The perceived social support of students of senior one and senior two is significantly lower than that of senior three,and the perceived social support of students whose parents are both working outside is significantly lower than those whose parents are not working outside.Third,the level of well-being of middle school students is above average.Specifically,the level of well-being of female students is significantly lower than male students.The level of well-being of students of grade two and grade three is significantly lower than that of grade one.The level of well-being of students of senior one and senior two is significantly lower than that of senior three,and the level of well-being of students whose parents are both working outside is significantly lower than those whose parents are not working outside.Fourth,there is a significant positive correlation between middle school students' self-acceptance,perceived social support and well-being,and perceived social support is the mediating variable between self-acceptance and well-being.According to the results of the study,the following educational revelations are put forward:First,school education should pay more attention to middle school students' self-acceptance.Second,we should pay more attention to the difference and imbalance of the mental development of middle school students.Third,mental health education courses are selectively offered for different grades.Fourth,we should pay attention to the " phenomenon in junior 2 ",cooperate with home and school to help middle school students pass puberty smoothly.
