Objective:NSSI is defined as the deliberate,destruction of human tissue without suicidal intent,is most common during adolescence.As a worldwide health problem,there are many studies on the impact of negative life events on NSSI among adolescents the researchers.However,few studies introduce the variable of social support to study the relationship between the three,especially for rural and urban children who are extremely short of social support.Therefore,in order to understand the occurrence,maintenance and intervention of NSSI the teenager,adolescents’ mental health should be maintained.This study explored the relationship between negative life events and NSSI in middle school students,and explored the mediating role of social support between negative life events and NSSI in middle school students.Methods:Youth self-injury Questionnaire,Adolescent self-rating life events checklist(ASLEC),Perceived social support scale(PSSS)were adopted.cluster sampling method was adopted to conduct anonymous questionnaire survey on junior middle school students in three semi-boarding middle schools in Hohhot,Linger County,Xinghe County of Wulanchabu city and Kulun Banner of Tongliao City in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,and SPSS 26.0 and AMOS26.0 were used for statistical analysis of the data.The research results are as follows:Results :(1)a total of 687 valid questionnaires were collected in this study,of which 290 were judged to have had non-suicidal NSSI in the past 12 months,and the overall detection rate NSSI was 42.2%.The top three methods of NSSI are “intentionally cutting one’s own skin with glass or knife”,“intentionally opening wounds to prevent wounds from healing”,and “intentionally hitting hard objects such as walls or glass”.High school students with NSSI usually adopt 1.8 methods of NSSI.The score of female students was significantly higher than that of male students(p < 0.001),and that of rural students was significantly higher than that of urban students(p<0.001).There were significant differences between students in grade 2,grade 1 and grade 3 of junior high school(p<0.05).There was no significant difference in NSSI between boarding students and non-boarding students.(2)The negative life events of qixian middle school students mainly focus on two aspects: learning pressure and interpersonal pressure.There was no significant difference in gender but significant difference in family location(p<0.05),and rural middle school students were higher than urban middle school students.There was significant difference between boarders and non-boarders(p<0.05),and boarders had significantly higher scores of negative life events and other factors than non-boarders.There were significant differences among grades(p<0.01).The number of negative life events in grade 3 was significantly higher than that in grade 2 and Grade 1,and the lowest in grade 1.(3)flag county middle school students’ understanding social support in a moderate level,understanding social support there were significant differences in gender(p<0.05),boys than girls in the family home on significant differences(p<0.001),urban middle school students is higher than the rural middle school students,studying way on significant differences(p<0.05),a boarder than boarders,There were significant differences among grades(p<0.01),the highest in grade one,the lowest in grade two.Conclusion :(1)adolescent negative life events directly affect the non-suicidal nssi behavior(2)Understanding that social support plays a partial mediating role between negative life events and non-suicidal NSSI...
