The development of children's social and emotional learning is very important to their future physical and mental health,social interaction and academic success.In recent years,more and more attention has been paid to the development of children's social and emotional learning in preschool education in China,and the discussion of social and emotional learning curriculum is also increasing.On the basis of the relevant research on the social and emotional learning curriculum at home and abroad,this study implemented the Second Step curriculum in kindergartens developed by the American children's Committee and used in more than 70 countries in the world,in order to explore the feasibility of the implementation of the Second Step curriculum in kindergartens in China.In this study,"Empathy" and "Problem Solving" in the Second Step are the main contents of the social and emotional learning.A class of H public kindergarten in K city was selected to implement the unit of Empathy in the second semester of the middle class of the selected class,and the unit of Problem Solving in the second semester of the large class.The two parts were implemented for two months respectively,totaling four months.This study adopts the research paradigm of action research.The researcher and two kindergarten teachers form a research community,and adopts the observation method and interview method to promote the implementation and improvement of curriculum.In the research process,aiming at the curriculum content,curriculum implementation and curriculum evaluation of the Second Step,the implementation,reflection,adjustment and re implementation form a spiral development process,which makes the Second Step more suitable for the development of children in the continuous improvement,and also provides ideas for the research and development of the kindergarten social and emotional curriculum.It is found that in the implementation of the Second Step,children's ability to recognize and express emotions has gradually developed from less than enough to more accurate recognition and positive expression,and emotional vocabulary has been enriched in this process;in emotional events,children's ability to control emotions by themselves or with the help of kindergarten teachers,and handle the event well.The teacher's professional knowledge and ability of emotion has also been developed with the implementation of the curriculum.The neglect of children's emotion has changed to be able to quickly identify children's emotion and give feedback in time,and to solve their own emotional problems with a positive attitude.At the same time,through the continuous reflection and adjustment of curriculum content,curriculum implementation and curriculum evaluation,teachers' reflective consciousness has developed from passive to active,and their reflective ability has been improved,and this reflective ability can be applied to daily education and teaching.The research draws the following conclusions: the Second Step curriculum has a high feasibility in Kindergartens in China;The Second Step course can promote children's emotional and social development.The Second Step course can promote teachers' own growth and development.
