Discourse comprehension is a necessary ability for children with hearing impairment to obtain external information and return to the mainstream society.The text contains a lot of cognitive information and emotional information.Compared with words and sentences,the information conveyed in the text is richer and more dynamic.Understanding the emotional information in the text can help children with hearing impairment improve their ability of text understanding and emotional understanding.The purpose of this study is to explore the characteristics and effective intervention methods of discourse emotional understanding in children with hearing impairment.For the purpose of the above study,three studies are designed: Study 1: To explore the characteristics and differences of discourse emotional understanding between children with hearing impairment and healthy hearing children in different cue types and emotional types under explicit tasks.The results show that the discourse emotional understanding of children with hearing impairment is different The ability of emotion understanding is lower than that of hearing children.The second study explored the characteristics and differences of discourse emotion understanding in different cue types and emotion types between hearing-impaired children and healthy hearing children under implicit task.The results showed that the ability of discourse emotion understanding of hearing-impaired children under implicit task was lower than that of healthy hearing children.The purpose of study three is to explore the effective ways to improve the ability of emotional comprehension of deaf children's discourse.The results show that emotional words teaching and emotional discourse reading training are effective training methods.By analyzing the results of the three studies,we can draw the following conclusions: no matter in explicit or implicit tasks,the emotional understanding ability of hearing impaired children lags behind that of healthy children,which is the difference in the level of backward knowledge,and the development trend between the two is basically the same.Emotional words teaching and emotional text reading training can improve the ability of emotional comprehension of deaf children.The research suggests that teachers of deaf schools should combine the emotional understanding in daily life situations with the training of emotionalunderstanding in discourse to carry out the teaching of reading comprehension.
