With the rapid development of information technology in contemporary society,educational contents,educational ideas and educational methods have undergone earth-shaking changes.In order to conform to the trend of the times and respond to the call of the Party and the state,geography curriculum also needs to meet new opportunities and challenges with a new attitude.At present,the geography classroom in senior high school is faced with a series of problems to be solved: the teaching method is single,the teaching method is still mainly taught by teachers,the classroom is boring and lack of innovation,and so on,these teaching methods have been unable to meet the needs of the state for the cultivation of talents in contemporary high schools.VR technology as one of the high-tech means,its application in the field of geography education in senior high school is still in the exploration stage.VR skills Art has the characteristics of immersion,interactivity,conception and so on.Students feel the visual impact brought by the scene through VR equipment,such as feeling the existence of theoretical knowledge in the geographical environment,fully combining knowledge with practice,deepening students' memory and understanding of knowledge,and making up for the problems of traditional geography teaching to a certain extent.Therefore,it is imperative to explore the application of VR technology in geography teaching.Research ideas :(1)Through consulting literature,analyzing current domestic and foreign research achievements and hot spots,to lay the research direction for this paper;(2)On the basis of research direction,find relevant books and documents,understand VR technology and its theoretical basis,and lay the foundation for its application research;(3)Through typical case analysis of the general law of geography teaching in senior high school using VR technology;(4)Under the guidance of general law,take "river geomorphology development" as an example to design head-mounted VR auxiliary teaching case;(5)Practice the case and analyze the results;(6)Effective and feasible VR based on application of VR practices and case studies Use strategies for teaching.Through the analysis of the relevant open class cases of multidisciplinary application of VR,it is found that the classroom using VR technology has the following common points :(1)The total time of using VR equipment in a class is not more than 15 minutes and the total number of times is not more than three times;(2)The more basic knowledge in the teaching content is not suitable for VR equipment;(3)The viewing content of VR equipment is closely related to the knowledge learned in this class;and(4)The cooperative inquiry learning method is used in all learning methods.Based on the characteristics of the above VR techniques,and with the support of relevant theories,taking the contents of “Development of River Geomorphology” as an example,the design VR technology is applied to geography teaching case,and the control experiment was carried out in the third class and the forth class of Mingxin Middle School in Zhengzhou City.Through the four dimensions of questionnaire survey,classroom observation,teacher reflection and knowledge evaluation,it is concluded that :(1)The use of VR technology is conducive to improving students' interest in learning and increasing students' participation in the classroom;(2)Students have a high degree of recognition for the application of VR technology to geography classroom in senior high school,and hope to use VR technology as a regular teaching mode;(3)The use of VR technology can improve students' understanding and application of knowledge,and help to cultivate geography core literacy.According to the design and implementation of the above teaching cases,combined with the relevant open classes and literature analysis,the strategies of the application of VR technology to geography teaching in senior high school are put forward :(1)The knowledge of geography and process is more suitable for the use of VR technology;(2)The selection of VR video should be scientific and reasonable;(3)VR assisted teaching should focus on inquiry learning;(4)The presupposition of classroom problems to reduce the sudden situation in the classroom.Conclusion :(1)The use of VR technology has a positive effect on geography teaching in senior high school.(2)The application strategies of VR technology in geography teaching in senior high school were put forward.The innovation of this paper lies in the innovation of research content and research methods.research content,break through the traditional teaching concept,apply VR technology to geography teaching in senior high school,to some extent make up for the shortcomings of geography teaching in senior high school.research methods mainly adopt experimental method,and through qualitative and quantitative analysis method,explore the application effect of VR technology in geography teaching in senior high school,and put forward concrete and feasible use strategies.
