Orienteering,as a new sport which is deeply loved by high school students,will accelerate its campus transformation so as to enter the high school physical education and health class,it is an important subject of the reform of the content of physical education and health curriculum in senior high school.The purpose of this study is to promote the construction and development of Physical Education and health curriculum for senior high school students in Yueyang by designing orienteering curriculum content and venue route which accord with the physical and mental development of senior high school students.The methods of Literature Review,Questionnaire Survey,expert survey,logical analysis and mathematical statistics are used in this study.Studies have shown that,the necessity of developing orienteering sports in senior high school is mainly reflected in expanding the content of physical education,meeting the needs of students,strengthening the reform of physical education curriculum,building the brand of school physical education,improving students' sports skills,etc.Its feasibility mainly has the leadership support,the teacher strength,the student demand,the place suitable,the security safeguard and so on.This study puts forward four principles of curriculum design,namely,the principle of simplicity,the principle of teaching,the principle of systematicness and the principle of challenge,the basic techniques of 30 orienteering were selected from 8 groups of techniques,such as "figure reading rhythm-parallel figure reading",which are used in orienteering,the teaching content of high school orienteering project,which is composed of 15 orienteering techniques,such as "parallel map-reading technique","map-reading technique in sports" and "sketch map-reading technique",is designed according to the physical and mental characteristics of high school students,on this basis,the related unit teaching plan is worked out.After determining the content unit plan of the orienteering course,based on the principles of personal safety,environmental protection,scientific and reasonable principles,and the principle of appropriate challenge,designed the "100-meter orientation" and "campus team orientation" of the first middle school in Yueyang.Finally,the teaching experiment and comprehensive evaluation of the orienteering cross-country teaching in the Physical Education and health course of senior high school students for 15 courses were carried out,the results show that mostof the students can master the basic techniques of orienteering and achieve the goal of exercise,so this research is feasible.The results of this study are helpful to promote the innovative development of High School Physical Education and Health Curriculum,especially orienteering teaching,and to promote the diversification and interest of high school Physical Education and health curriculum teaching content.
