It is advocated to take students as the main body in the process of learning under the concept of modern education.By the perception of knowledge,the spirit of student's innovative exploration is cultivated.In the modern teaching,the geometer sketchpad can be used to further improve the quality of teaching and optimize teaching.The geometer sketchpad is "dynamic",that is to say,students can drag any graphic elements by using the mouse,then observe the graph and come up with their conjecture,because the preset geometric relationship doesn't change.Based on the function teaching and the multimedia teaching in junior high school,this paper studies how to develop the role of the geometer sketchpad in the junior middle school mathematics teaching and what problems we should pay attention to when we do the auxiliary teaching design.The scholars have noticed the importance and great function of the geometer sketchpad,but they haven't noticed the disadvantages of overusing the geometer sketchpad.What's more,most of them use their own experience to research how to use the geometer sketchpad in the teaching,but what they have researched lack of arguments about the function and reliable datas.The author in Fuzhou No.19 Middle School first carried out a questionnaire survey on students,mining the difficulties of students in learning mathematics.Then she did many teaching experiments for about three months,and has analyzed the function of the geometer sketchpad for junior high school teaching auxiliary functions by practice.The content mainly consists of two parts.One is about the teaching design based on a quadratic function of the geometer sketchpad.The second is about the program of the experiment,introduction of the procedure and analysis of the effect.The final result will be the basis of teaching design,and the author will change a variety of feedback from students and teachers to the final conclusion.Finally,the conclusion is:1.By using the geometer sketchpad in function teaching in junior high school,students' academic performance has been significantly improved,which is mainly reflected in the improvement of learning interest,class atmosphere,learning efficiency,self-confidence and so on.2.The effects of the dynamic problem teaching,the number-form combination teaching,the function teaching,the geometric transformation problem teaching and geometric theorem teaching are the best.Integral expression operations teaching and equation operations algebra knowledge teaching is more suitable for the traditional blackboard teaching.The function of the geometer sketchpad in teaching is a helper,and the main body of teaching is still a teacher.So the teacher should use the geometer sketchpad more properly.
