Education is universally acknowledged as a potential motive of a nation's development,as the old saying goes out a country becomes powerful with its emphasis on education.With the improvement of the living standards,the masses are in increasing pursuit of quality education.Embraced with the epoch of rapid advancement,there witness deficiency in continuous pull of urban labor dedicated to infrastructure.With the joint effect tremendously exerted by surplus rural labor and the pressure of daily life,a decrease has occurred in school-aged children of rural areas while the rural population is flowing into cities on a large scale.As a consequence,running schools in each village is leading to “uneconomic practice”,having accelerating intense movements of school integration in the rural regions of China under the benchmark of “economies of scale”.There are fewer rural primary schools run by villages,while it takes students longer distances and more time to commute to and from school.With the integration of higher grades in multiple elementary schools,complete primary schools have turned into scattered teaching venues.Teaching points of fewer students and instability are confronted with the predicament involving defective teaching facilities,shortage of various resources,inferior quality of teachers and deficient fiscal autonomy endured by small-scale schools.An incomplete small-scale school in rural areas(teaching venue)has been taken as the research subject in this thesis.Encountered with shortage of students,weak teaching faculty,defective infrastructure and inappropriate structure of curriculum,small-scale schools in rural areas have been barely recognized by local villagers in terms of their value.As a whole,small-scale schools in rural areas are in an embarrassing situation while wandering in desperate demand and suspicion.Field survey has been applied in the article,which is dominated by qualitative study with the coordination of quantitative study to carry out analysis on survival predicament that a primary school faces in daily teachings from the perspectives of people,wealth and material.Additionally,the predicament of the school in resources has been evaluated based on in-depth study of the school,accompanied by knowing more about the students and their families among parents and villages.To alter the survival predicament of small size schools,The author maintains first of all to strengthen the resource competitiveness of rural small-scale schools;Furthermore,to improve the resource allocation ability of small-scale schools;Last but not least,to support the resource production capacity of small-scale schools.
