Auxiliary line is an important tool and an effective way to break through and to solve geometric problems.Adding auxiliary line properly can help solve geometric problems.Through literature research,it is found that the previous research mainly focuses on the exploration of some individual problems,mostly staying at the theoretical level,and its application is not very practical.Some of those research need to use the knowledge of senior high school or even of college for us to understand and master.For junior high school students,these knowledge are beyond their teaching syllabus and do not take into account the learning situation and cognitive development of junior high school students,so these research are of little significance in guiding junior high school teaching.Therefore,it is of great importance to find an effective way of teaching auxiliary line for the academic study of both junior middle school teachers and students.It not only helps to improve the teaching theory of auxiliary line,but also helps students master the mathematics knowledge and methods and improve their mathematics learning ability.This article mainly uses the methods of literature research and investigation to investigate the current teaching situation of auxiliary line in junior high school.Through data analysis,it is found that: there are many geometric contents and flexible methods,especially in the problems of reasoning and argumentation.Students couldn't analyze the meaning of the problems,couldn't find the breakthrough point,add auxiliary line randomly,or they may know some methods of making auxiliary line,but they could not base on the questions to choose the auxiliary line flexibly to solve the problem effectively.It causes students to have difficulty in geometry learning,lack of confidence and lower their interest in learning.However,the teaching materials of auxiliary line are relatively simple,so some teachers do not pay attention to the teaching of auxiliary line,lack of systematic research on the drawing classification of auxiliary line,lack of expansion and extension of relevant auxiliary line in the teaching process,and lack of summarization,so the teaching result is not ideal.According to the problems found in the research,this article first summarizes the common methods of adding auxiliary lines to several basic graphics in junior high school mathematics within the structure of knowledge system.Then in the aspect of teaching strategy,combined with my case study of "using rotation method to construct auxiliary line",and through the special test paper to evaluate the students' knowledge and ability,and gradually explore the effective way of auxiliary line teaching in plane geometry of junior middle school.At last,it puts forward specific suggestions for teachers' teaching and students' learning in terms of teaching content and teaching methods,we can appropriately present geometric content with the help of multimedia technology,stimulate students' interest in the way of from simple to hard,encourage students to participate in the process of inquiry learning,accumulate drawing experience,and enhance their confidence in learning geometry;in terms of class arrangement,it is suggested to set up special topics for introduction while strengthen the guidance of learning methods and guide students to summarize the common methods of auxiliary lines.
