Chemistry is a natural science based on experiment,while experiment is the core of Chemistry.The interesting chemical experiments in high school are characterized by fun,conciseness,vividness and intuition,which can stimulate students' interest in learning.As a new method for experimental teaching,interesting chemical experiment has attracted much attention in secondary education.Designing and improving interesting chemical experiments and applying them in Chemistry teaching in high school can play an important role in stimulating students' desire for knowledge,improving their ability of scientific investigation,and enhancing students' comprehensive quality.This paper focuses on the following contents:First,by consulting the literature,the overall situation of the study on interesting chemical experiments was learned.There are already some researches on interesting chemical experiments at home and abroad,but there are just a few cases of improvements on the interest of some experiments,and the improvement effect is not very satisfying;besides,most of the existing researches focus on the improvement of the interest of specific experiment,and a complete system of the methods for improving the fun of experiments has not yet formed.In addition,there is also a lack of comprehensive study on how to combine interesting experiments with classroom teaching to achieve good teaching effect.To overcome the above-mentioned problems,the author has selected some experiments in middle school for improving their interest,with "thermite reaction" experiment as an example.Improvements were made in kindling agent and experimental devices,while the function of the experiment was expanded,so that the interest of the experiment was improved while the success rate of the experiment can also be ensured.Based on the interesting improvement on "thermite reaction" experiment,"separation and purification of substances-iodine extraction from kelp" experiment was used as an example to combine the basic experimental operations with interesting experiment to design a complete teaching case.In the process of teaching design,the advantages and disadvantages of the experiment in the textbook were analyzed,and the experiment wasimproved to increase the integrity and interest.At the same time,the curriculum standards and the textbook were analyzed,and the experiment was combined with the key knowledge of how to separate and purify substances,so that students not only can improve their experimental ability,but also increase the knowledge level significantly.Through the comparison of students' performance and the interview of teachers at different levels,the application of interesting experiments was summarized and evaluated.Combining fun experiments with classroom teaching can enhance both the students' participation and learning efficiency,and achieve satisfying teaching effect.In addition,with the help of "Chemistry Club" and other activities,related research on interesting experiments has also been propagated to a certain extent.This thesis summarizes the key steps in the design of interesting experiments,and the methods for expressing the interest of experiments and improving interest.It provides a reference for the application of interesting experiments in teaching and the development of campus activities.
