In terms of the role evolution of teacher,it emerges as the development of the times requires,which shows different characteristics in different times,as well as reflects the demand of the times for teachers and their roles.With the rapid development of deep learning,big data,cloud computing and other technologies at present,artificial intelligence has involved in aspects of human life,which has also generated a significant impact on social economy,education,politics and so on.As for the information technology with artificial intelligence as the core,it reconstructs the existing form of education while solving the real contradiction of education,which transforms the education in the form of industrialized school into the education of the future form.However,teachers as the main body of educational activities have the necessity to re-position their roles to cope with the challenges brought by artificial intelligence.Compared with the previous era,it can be seen that the era of artificial intelligence has the characteristics of deep learning,cross-border integration,human-computer cooperation,group intelligence and so on.With the advent of the era of artificial intelligence,it not only brings opportunities for teachers to improve teaching efficiency,promote personalized teaching,train students to develop in an all-round way,and carry out human-computer cooperation in teaching,which also brings the challenges,such as eliminating the privilege that teaching reference books have given teachers to control knowledge,replacing teachers' functions partially,and the demand of the role of educating people.The role positioning of teachers should realize the changes as follows in the era of artificial intelligence:(1)From batch standardized teachers to precise personalized teachers,teachers carry out teaching with their own personal experience in traditional teaching,which can meet the needs of most people at the middle level,while it has certain suppression on students at both ends,thus being unable to achieve targeted teaching,and complete one-to-one learning situation analysis.Instead,the application of artificial intelligence technology can collect students' learning data to establish model for analysis,and provide diagnostic feedback.Thus,teachers can provide precise personalized learning resources according to students' conditions,which realizes the change to layered evaluation from one-size-fits-all.(2)From single leader to human-computer collaborator,teachers dominate the whole teaching process in the traditional education mode,in which students are in the position of acceptingknowledge passively.Under the artificial intelligence,the machine and the teacher carry out the teaching together to realize the man-machine cooperation,which includes the cooperation between the teacher and the artificial intelligence,the cooperation between the teacher and the society,and the change from giving play to the individual function to the man-machine cooperation.(3)From the user of the digital environment to the user and builder of the intelligent learning environment,the teacher uses the advanced technology means,wisdom perception and data resources push of intelligent learning environment to construct scene assisted instruction under the promotion of the artificial intelligence technology.(4)From the role of knowledge-based teaching to the role of educating people,teachers are defined as the process of outputting knowledge to the knowledge seekers in traditional teaching,while artificial intelligence gradually replaces knowledge-based teaching.In view of it,teachers should give full play of their irreplaceable role and constantly deepen the connotation of educating people,so as to be the guide and life educator of students' learning and growth.The requirements for teachers to complete the change of their roles in the era of artificial intelligence are as follows:(1)They should renew their educational ideas,since the concepts of them determine their actions,in which different concepts lead to different educational directions and behaviors.Firstly,teachers should actively recognize and adapt to artificial intelligence,so as to break the shackles of the original role positioning,and finally form the concept of human-computer collaborative teaching.(2)Teachers should change the professional development direction,since the purpose of teachers' professional development is to meet the development needs of students,and the development needs of students also determine the direction of teachers' professional development.What's more,the development of students is moving towards the direction of individuation and comprehensiveness in the era of artificial intelligence.Thus,teachers should adjust the direction of professional development appropriately,who should firstly perceive the changes of society.Then,they should turn to the cultivation of all-round development people,pay attention to the unification of teaching and education,and finally form the thinking of human-computer combination.(3)They should improve the professional quality,since the connotation of teachers' professional quality is different in different stages of education development.In the era of artificial intelligence,only by re-understanding the connotation of teachers' professional quality can teachers accurately position their roles in the future education and teaching process.In the face of the future higher-level education reform,teachers should have information technology literacy,humanistic literacy,ability literacy and interdisciplinary literacy,so as to meet the educational challenges of the era of artificial intelligence.
