With the continuous reform and development of the new curriculum,the "synthesis and practice" module in the content module of mathematics teaching in junior middle school has become one of the important topics.At the same time,the requirements for the development of education are getting higher and higher,and the demand for innovative talents is getting greater and greater.As a result,the idea of STEAM education emerges at the right moment and enters our vision.There is a new international trend of thought in education on the part of STEAM education representatives,which emphasizes the integration and practice of multiple disciplines,STEAM education concept is integrated into the teaching process of mathematics "integration and practice" course,and the content of corresponding teaching design is optimized,so that students can break the traditional way of learning between subjects and conduct interdisciplinary comprehensive learning.In this paper,using literature study,through the analysis on the basis of relevant research findings: the new curriculum reform of mathematics' comprehensive and practical value and the demand is higher and higher,and STEAM education concept fit quality education concept and adapt to the development of science and the actual teaching of mathematics lesson "comprehensive and practical" overlooked,STEAM and education at the fledgling stage.At the same time,the questionnaire method is adopted to formulate the corresponding questionnaire.Extraction for yantai five high school junior middle school mathematics teacher survey to understand the current junior middle school mathematics "comprehensive and practical teaching status quo and the teachers in the attitude toward the course in the teaching design,and analyzes" comprehensive and practical course integration "STEAM mutual unification on education concept in education idea,education goals consistent with each other,mutual penetration on the course requirements.STEAM in the fusion of junior middle school mathematics education concept"comprehensive and practical feasibility analysis,design the STEAM educationconcept of" ten "word frame structure,based on the mathematical center and respectively from four aspects: science,technology,engineering and art is discussed in" comprehensive and practical "mathematics teaching how to integrate design in the design of STEAM education idea,to embody the characteristics of interdisciplinary comprehensive learning better.On the basis of the above research,the teaching design framework of mathematics "synthesis and practice" that integrates STEAM education concept is designed,and the teaching design of making a cuboid container without cover as large as possible is designed according to the principles of comprehensiveness,reality,feasibility and openness.In this study,the integration of STEAM education concept and junior high school mathematics "integration and practice" course is a bold innovation.The result is how to integrate all elements of STEAM education concept into the teaching design of junior high school mathematics "integration and practice" course,and get the teaching design model framework.Such integration is conducive to the cultivation of students' consciousness of interdisciplinary inquiry and innovation,as well as the development of teachers themselves and the improvement of teaching level.Meanwhile,it is also conducive to the optimization of the teaching design of mathematics "integration and practice" course,and the better introduction of STEAM education concept into middle school teaching classes,so as to make STEAM education in China.
