With the continuous deepening of the new curriculum reform in China,the "Integration and Practice" curriculum of middle school mathematics has become an important subject for researching in the field of mathematics education.In addition,"Integration and Practice",a new activity-oriented teaching model,is significantly different from other traditional mathematics teaching models.Therefore,under the new environment,we need to make appropriate changes and timely adjustments to the teaching design in accordance with the specific requirements of "Integration and Practice" curriculum of middle school mathematics.On the way of searching the adjustment direction of the teaching design,the popular education concept "STEAM" has caught the author's eye.This paper is to study the teaching design model of "Integration and Practice" of middle school mathematics based on STEAM concept.The specific content is divided into the following four parts:1.By applying literature method,I analyzed and sorted out the literature of existing domestic and overseas research on mathematics "Integration and Practice" curriculum and research on STEAM concept and found: STEAM is becoming the model of future curriculum integration,however,domestic research on STEAM concept is still at the beginning and developing stage;though mathematics "Integration and Practice" has different ways of expression in different countries,it is valued by all the countries.2.By applying questionnaire method,I investigated the teaching status of mathematics "Integration and Practice" curriculum and found: firstly,mathematics "Integration and Practice" curriculum has not received due attention;secondly,the teachers' understanding of it is not accurate enough;thirdly,the difficulty of mathematics "Integration and Practice" curriculum lies in its teaching design.3.After analyzing the STEAM concept and "Integration and Practice" of middle school mathematics,I found that the two can be integrated for three reasons: firstly,the consistency of teaching objectives;secondly,the relevance of educational impacts;thirdly,the inclusion of STEAM's educational concept.4.After the research of the first three parts,the teaching design model of "Integration and Practice",based on STEAM concept,of middle school mathematics,which is guided by STEAM theory,with the framework of "mathematics +" as the core and ADDIE mode as the expression form,is obtained,and then the teaching design cases are made based on this model.This study is a bold innovation based on the teaching design of "Integration and Practice" of middle school mathematics,and the result obtained is the teaching design model of "Integration and Practice" of middle school mathematics based on STEAM concept.On the one hand,the model makes the teaching design of "Integration and Practice" of middle school mathematics reasonable and "flesh-and-blood",on the other hand,it also allows the STEAM concept to enter the middle school's math class,which provides a very good position for the practice of our educational concept STEAM.
