At present,China's education has made great progress, but in terms of rural basic education, the level of rural basic education is affected by the professional development of rural teachers. With the major changes in the gender structure of rural teachers in recent years, female teachers have supported half of the rural basic education. Therefore,in order to improve the basic education level in rural areas, the professional development of rural female teachers must be promoted. This article takes female teachers in rural elementary schools in Zoucheng townships in Shandong Province as an example.Through questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews,it is found that the overall level of professional development of female teachers in rural elementary schools in Zoucheng townships in Shandong Province is not high, and it is still relatively disadvantaged compared to male teachers. In the process of professional development of female teachers, there are also problems such as fewer training opportunities for teachers, lower professional recognition of teachers, less autonomy in professional development of teachers, medical insurance cannot meet the needs of female teachers, and housework takes up more time for female teachers. This article analyzes the causes of the above problems from the four levels of society, school, family and individual. The traditional concept of sexism, the stipulations of the implicit gender system and the prejudice in the mainstream social discourse are the main social factors that affect the professional development of female teachers in rural primary schools;the lack of a campus cultural environment for professional development of female teachers, gender segregation of occupations, and education and teaching The complexity of work is a school factor that affects the professional development of rural primary school female teachers;the traditional gender division of labor and the conflict of roles of female teachers are the main family factors that affect the professional development of rural primary school female teachers;the lack of subjective awareness of female teachers and low professional identity And their own special physiological conditions are the main personal factors that affect theprofessional development of rural primary school female teachers. In order to improve the status of professional development of rural primary school female teachers and the professional development level of female teachers, this article puts forward the following suggestions: At the social level, the traditional concept of sexism should be broken through, and education policies should reflect the care and efforts of female teachers Improve the social status of female teachers in rural primary schools;at the school level, the education department should encourage female teachers to give full play to their own strengths to enhance individual competitiveness and build a campus cultural environment that is conducive to the professional development of female teachers;at the family level, the traditional Gender division of labor model, balance the conflict of female teachers' roles;at the individual level, female teachers should improve their scientific research capabilities, take the initiative to strive for social support, establish a sense of subject development, and enhance professional identity.
