The ultimate goal of education is not only to teach students the textbook knowledge,but also tohelp students prepare for the future world.Scientific thinking is the habit and ability that people use scientific thinking methods to understand things and solve practical problems,which is beneficial to the students' lifelong development.In2017,the new curriculum standard of biology for senior high school was officially promulgated,which aims to cultivate students' biological core literacy.Core literacy is an important basis for guiding curriculum design and classroom teaching,and scientific thinking is one of the important components of biological core literacy.However,the results of the previous survey results show that they failed to actively give effective guidance to students due to the lack of specific implementation methods,although most of the front-line teachers agreed on the importance of cultivating high school students' biological scientific thinking,"Argumentation" has been proved by researchers at home and abroad to be one of the most effective methods to cultivate scientific thinking,but there is no relevant research on how to apply "argumentation" to cultivate students' biological scientific thinking in biology class.In order to improve the core quality of biology,this paper decided to explore how to cultivate the thinking ability of biology science of senior high school students by using argumentation teaching strategy in the classroom.Here are the specific methods :(1)By the literature research method,this paper summarized the research survey of scientific thinking and argumentation teaching at home and abroad,analyzed the connotation and extension of scientific thinking and argumentation teaching,and formulated the content and method of argumentationteaching according to the research results.(2)By the method of questionnaire,this paper investigated the current situation of front-line teachers training students' scientific thinking and the scientific thinking ability of high school students.The results show that students' ability of induction and generalization,deduction and reasoning,model and modeling,critical thinking and creative thinking were all of medium level.However,due to the lack of specific strategies for cultivating scientific thinking,teachers failed to effectively promote the development of students' scientific thinking.(3)According to the results of the above literature research and questionnaire survey as the guidance of demonstration teaching,the classes with similar biological performance in the same grade were divided into experimental group and control group.The experimental group adopted demonstration teaching method,while the control group adopted traditional teaching method,and the test questions were compiled to test the students' scientific thinking ability before and after,and the test results were scored statistically Analysis.The results are as follows: the average scores of the pre-test of scientific thinking ability in the experimental class and the control class are 50.94 and 51.63 respectively,P= 0.769 > 0.05,indicating that there is no significant difference between the two classes in biological performance and scientific thinking ability.The average scores of the posttest of the experimental class and the control class were 56.96 and 49.52,respectively,P = 0.015 < 0.05,indicating that there was a significant difference between the two classes in biological performance and scientific thinking ability.As the average scores of the students in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control class,the biological thinking ability was significantly improved.This shows that the demonstration teaching in senior high school biology class can make students experience the process of collecting evaluation data,putting forward opinions,finding evidence support,questioning and refuting like scientists,which can significantly promote students' academic achievements and thinking ability of biological science.In short,in the current education mode,the demonstration teaching strategy can improve the thinking ability of high school students' biological science and achieve the curriculum goal of cultivating biological core literacy.This paper will provide new ideas and reference for the majority of front-line teachers to carry out the research of new teaching methods.
