With its advantages of small size and convenience,micro-lecture has become the mainstream digital learning resources used by many learners. From the visual level, text and picture are the two elements of micro-lecture.Whether the design of text and picture can effectively improve the learning effect of learners is the premise of achieving the teaching effect of micro class. On the basis of sorting out the design elements of micro-lecture video and the current application of eye-tracker in the field of education and other documents, this research divides the subjects in the text design into three groups and the subjects in the picture design into four groups, playing micro-lecture video with different designs for each group of learners.By comparing the eye movement data such as fixation path, fixation hotspot, fixation time, fixation counts and test scores, the design strategy and learning effect of micro-lecture video were discussed. The results show that:(1)the key marker design does not lead to significant differences in the cognitive effect of learners, but the visual attention effect of this design is better.(2)Whether subtitles exist or not will not lead to significant differences in learners' cognitive effects, but will lead to significant differences in learners' visual attention effects.(3)When learners look at subtitles, the visual attention effect of different subtitle areas is significantly different.(4)There is no significant difference in the visual attention effect of different parts of speech in micro class video subtitles.(5)Background movement does not lead to significant differences in learners' cognitive and visual attention effects.(6)Different presentation methods of micro class video will not lead to significant differences in learners' cognitive effect, but will lead to significant differences in learners' visual attention effect. The findings are as follows:(1)the use of heterochromatic markers in key descriptive texts can effectively improve learners' fixation points, and increase learners' fixation time,so as to improve learners' visual attention.(2)Micro-lecture video is equipped with subtitles, which will distract learners' attention from the content of the video picture.Without subtitles, learners can focus more on the video picture. The attention degree of the learners to the micro-lecture video subtitles shows a waveform change. Each line of subtitles from left to right is 0%-20%,30%-40%,80%-100% of the area is low attention area,20%-30%,40%-80% of the area is high attention area,40%-80% of the area is the maximum attention area, and the high attention area is relatively concentrated on the right side of the subtitle.Learners pay more attention to nouns, verbs and numerals in subtitles than adjectives, adverbs and prepositions.Putting the key content of nouns, verbs and numerals in the subtitles into 20%-30%,40%-80% of the areas will improve the visual attention of the learners to the subtitles.(3)The background of the micro-lecture video has no effect on the visual attention and cognitive effect of the learners, and the visual attention of the learners to the screen background is low,so the screen background design can be simplified.(4)Micro-lecture video should be presented in the form of text or teacher + text, which has a good cognitive effect and enables learners to keep high visual attention all the time.
