Analysis On The Application Of VAR Technology In The 2018 Chinese Super League

VAR technology(Video Assistant Referee,VAR)stands for "Video Assistant Referee Playback Technology".It is a set of high-tech products,a combination of science and technology and football equipment.The main purpose of VAR technology is to assist referees in making penalties.With the help of modern technology,slow-motion playback of game details,motion capture,analysis of results,etc.,will definitely improve the accuracy of referees' penalties.In 2016 the FIFA World Cup(FIFA,hereinafter referred to as "FIFA")determined that VAR technology was used for the first time in the game.Subsequently,the German Football League and the Italian League One in the five major leagues also began in 2017.This technology was formally introduced from the beginning of the year.At the same time,the Chinese Football Association began to fully enable VAR technology in the Chinese Football Super League(hereinafter referred to as the "Chinese Super League")in the 2018 season.The 2018 Super League used VAR technology to achieve significant results in reducing referees' major mistakes and omissions,and promoting fairness and fairness.However,the current use of VAR technology is still insufficient.Through research and analysis,this article makes use of the advantages of VAR technology,and continuously improves the shortcomings of VAR technology,providing a theoretical basis for the development and application of VAR technology in China's professional football league.In this paper,research methods such as literature data method,video observation method,expert interview method,mathematical statistics method,case study method,and logic analysis method are used to conduct a detailed study of the 240 games in the30 seasons of the 2018 Chinese Super League.Use statistics during the game to analyze and classify data.A comprehensive study of the number of VAR techniques involved in the competition,the reasons for the intervention,the length of the intervention,the number of corrections,etc.The analysis and discussion of the research results at the end of the article draw the following conclusions:1.In the 2018 season,the Chinese Super League VAR technology involved 148 times in the game and changed the sentence 90 times.It took a total of 22378 seconds,which improved the accuracy of the penalty.VAR technology is involved in the number of matches in the early and late stages of the league more than in the middle of the league.The frequency of intervention in the front field is the highest.2.In the course of a game,the most frequently involved VAR technique is "whether to score a goal",of which the frequency of occurrence of offside goals is the highest.It has the least involvement in the case of "admitting a wrong player".The "direct red card" has the highest rate of change,and the number of interventions at the beginning of the season is significantly less than in the middle and late seasons.3.In the case of VAR technical intervention,whether there is a penalty penalty,the fouls in the upper limbs are significantly more than those in other parts,and the handball fouls occur most often in the upper limb fouls.After VAR technology was involved in the game,the team's success rate of penalty kicks decreased slightly.4.The most frequent VAR technology intervention time is 121-180 seconds.The intervention rate in the second half is higher than the first half.5.the most frequent reasons for revision are "angle issues ".When the video assistant referee prompts the referee to need VAR technical intervention,the revision rate is higher than the referee's active use VAR technology.6.There are some differences between domestic and foreign referees in the application of VAR technology.The foreign referees' intervention rate and re-judgment rate are higher than domestic referees,and the average time of interruption is lower than domestic referees.
