| With the rapid development of modern soccer and the continuous improvement of the technical and tactical level of soccer,soccer matches show a trend of fast-paced,high confrontation and more hidden fouls,and many physical contact situations are difficult to be accurately identified with the naked eye,resulting in more and more controversial penalties in the matches.In order to adapt to the ever-changing game scenario and reduce the occurrence of major errors and omissions,the International Football Association(IFAB)added VAR technology to assist referees in 2018.The technical system also includes a set of auxiliary penalty system including video assistant referee and supporting equipment,process and specification.This paper systematically analyzes the impact of VAR technology on soccer matches from two aspects,positive and negative,through the specific status of the application of VAR technology in the Chinese Super League in the 2020 season,so as to have a clear knowledge and understanding of the effect of VAR technology in soccer matches and provide some reference for the use and improvement of VAR technology in China’s soccer matches in the future.This paper statistically analyzes the use of VAR technology applied to the first stage of the Chinese Super League in the 2020 season through the literature method,expert interview method,mathematical and statistical method,video analysis method and comparative analysis method,and the main research results are:(1)The use of VAR technology has become a mainstream trend,and the Chinese Super League has officially introduced VAR technology from 2018,and its use has been effective and widely recognized by all walks of life.VAR technology has effectively improved the game order of the Chinese Super League,created a relatively fair and just game environment,and made efforts to promote the development of soccer environment in a healthy direction.(2)From the viewpoint of the use effect,VAR technology has improved the accuracy of referees’ decisions,reduced the number of mistakes and omissions of major fouls,and effectively curbed the occurrence of serious fouls,violent acts and disciplinary violations.Under the comprehensive supervision of VAR,the fluke mentality of players committing fouls is suppressed,and they focus more on the display of techniques and tactics on the field of play,reducing improper behaviors and improving the quality and overall level of soccer matches.(3)VAR is a "double-edged sword".Although VAR technology can improve the accuracy of referees’ judgment and ensure the competition in a fair and fair environment,the involvement of VAR technology will affect the athletes’ competitive state,at the same time,impact the referee’s discourse power,reduce the referee’s law enforcement authority,even cause the referee to rely too much on the VAR technology to assist in the judgment,and form an inert law enforcement attitude.(4)The emergence of VAR technology has brought new challenges to the soccer game.While it brings more fairness and justice to the game,it can also damage the fluency and ornamental quality of the game and weaken the authority of the referee.The development of VAR technology will keep pace with the times.As the same time,with the improvement of the referee’s business level and the progress of technology,the use of VAR technology will be improved,and these negative effects will be solved.VAR technology will be better integrated into soccer matches and become a part of soccer matches. |
