The Complication Of Malicious Envy And Benign Envy Scale For High School Students And The Relationship With Mental Health

On the basis of consulting a large number of literature,this study constructs the structure dimension about malicious envy and benign envy of high school students.The initial questionnaire scale is formed by the results of open-ended questionnaire survey.The data collected are analyzed by conformatory factor analysis and exploratory factory analysis,so malicious envy scale and benign envy scale are formed which the reliability and validity are fair ideal.In order to explore the characteristics of malicious envy and benign envy as well as the correlation between it and mental health level.The self-made envy scale and the“psychological health inventory”of Chinese middle school students which compiled by Chinese psychologist Wang Jisheng were used to investigate 600 students in a high school in Hebei province.This study is divided into two parts.In the first part,it mainly explores the compilation of the malicious envy and benign envy scale of senior high school students.In the second part,it mainly focuses on the characteristics of malicious envy and benign envy of senior high school students.It also focuses on the relationship between these two kinds of envy and mental health of senior high school students.Study 1 resultsConstruct the content structure of malicious envy and benign envy.Finally,the scale with reliability and validity passing the test was prepared.Among them,the malicious envy scale for high school students includes 5 dimensions,including academic envy,interpersonal envy,appearance envy,economic envy and admission envy,it has 22 items in total.The benign envy scale for high school students includes three dimensions: self-motivation,self-attitude and self-achievement,it has 14 items in total.Study 2 resultsThe results show that :(1)There is a significant difference in grade between high school students' malicious envy.There are significant differences in the dimension of economic envy of malicious envy among high school students in terms of gender and source of students:there are significant differences in the dimension of academic envy of malicious envy amonghigh school students in terms of whether they are the only child or not.(2)There are significant differences in whether senior high school students are class cadres or not;There are significant differences in the self-achievement dimension of benign envy in high school students in the origin and whether the class leader.(3)It showed that the higher level of malicious envy,the lower level of mental health.The higher level of benign envy,the higher level of mental health.
