Peer relationship is essential to the growth of teenagers,as the growth of the age of individual companion to the attention of more and more,the attention to parents and teachers should gradually reduce,peer relationship is adolescent social adaptation ability and social skill development important premise,Teenagers can find comfort and support from peers.Adolescent mental health is also important.Studies revealed that individuals with good peer relationships have higher levels of mental health,on the contrary,individuals with bad peer relationships will have various psychological problems.Class group counseling,as a special group intervention,can provide a better communication atmosphere for class members,so that they can have a deeper understanding of themselves and others in the group interaction,improve peer relationships.Therefore,this research wanted to know current situation of peer relationship and mental health of junior high school students,and implement class group counseling intervention,hoping to improve peer relationship of junior school students and promote the level of mental health.Methods: Using "Children and adolescents peer relationship scale" and "MSSMHS" to a total of 500 junior middle school students from grade one to grade three,peer relationship and mental health status survey.According to the results of the current study,the intervention study selected two homogeneous classes,designed a class group tutoring program with peer relationship as the theme,and conducted intervention on the experimental group of junior high school students.Results:(1)In the overall condition of junior middle school students’ peer relationship,the average score of peer relationship(M=40.03)was lower than the theoretical average(M=44);General analysis on mental health,the number of middle school students without mental health accounted for 60.6 percent,the mental health level of junior middle school students is totality good.(2)Regarding demographic variables,peer relationship of junior school students was significantly different in grade(p<0.05)and class leader(p<0.01).The entirety mental health status of junior middle school students was significantly different in gender dimension(p<0.05).(3)Peer relationship of Secondary school students is significantly positively correlated with mental health and its various dimensions.(4)Peer relationship can positively predict the mental health of Secondary school students.(5)The peer relationship and mental health level of Secondary school students who received class group counseling intervention were improved compared with those who did not.Conclusion: The peer relationship and mental health level of junior middle school students are generally good,and at a good level.Peer relationship is positively correlated with mental health of junior middle school students.Peer relationship can positively predict their mental health.Class group counseling intervention is effective. |
