In order to improve the overall quality of students,many characteristic columns have been added to the physics textbook after the new curriculum reform,including "thinking and discussion" column.This column is presented in the form of questions.It aims to cultivate students' ability of independent learning and exploration and improve students' physical science literacy.The purpose of this study is to find out the existing problems in teaching practice by analyzing the column of "thinking and discussion" in teaching materials and investigating the current situation of its use,and to put forward corresponding suggestions for specific problems.Through this research,we can deepen the high school physics teachers' understanding of the column of "thinking and discussion",so that the front-line physics teachers can make better use of the column of "thinking and discussion" in the teaching process and enrich the relevant educational research.This paper takes the "thinking and discussion" column in compulsory 1 of senior high school physics textbook as the research object,Gagne's information processing theory and learning pyramid theory as the theoretical basis,and adopts literature method,questionnaire survey method and text analysis method.This study is mainly divided into three parts.The first part makes a detailed study on the number,distribution,content,characteristics and types of the "thinking and discussion" column in compulsory 1 of the senior high school physics textbook.In the second part,a questionnaire survey is conducted among the physics teachers in a county-level key high school from different dimensions to understand the current practice of "thinking and discussion".Combined with the results of the questionnaire,this paper puts forward the corresponding teaching suggestions for the effective use of this column,with teaching cases attached.The third part is the deepening and extension of the column "thinking and discussion".The conclusion is as follows:The number of "thinking and discussion" column is the most in the compulsory 1Textbook of senior high school physics.This column has the problem of uneven distribution in teaching materials.According to the function of this column,it can be classified into three types: import type,link type and summary type.Through the detailed study of the content of this column,it is found that some "thinking and discussion" columns are easy and difficult toset up.Through the investigation of the use of "thinking and discussion" column in the teaching practice,it is found that the front-line physics teachers can realize the important role of "thinking and discussion" column,but the use of this column is not ideal due to the influence of the tense class hours and the college entrance examination system and other factors,only18.97% of the front-line physics teachers can organize students to explore independently to make effective use of this column.Combined with the results of the questionnaire survey and the detailed research on the column of "thinking and discussion" in the textbook,this paper puts forward(1)making the column of "reality" : integrating into the video,being close to life,(2)making the column of "depth" : initiating thinking,independent exploration,(3)making the column of "activity" :in-depth discussion,highlighting application and other teaching suggestions.
