At the present stage, childhood obesity is increasingly serious in our country, which is more severe than the situation in the western countries, especially in some first-tier cities.Childhood obesity, which has already developed into an important public health problem of great concern, will have a significant impact on children's health. It is urgent to prevent and intervene in the epidemic of childhood obesity.By observing the children overweight/obesity detection rate before and after the intervention, children's eating behaviors and the changes of physical activities, etc.,this research aims to explore the schoolyard environment as the main intervention settings in order to promote the health of the school-age children and the effect of the intervention strategies which are designed to reduce the incidence of obesity. Methods: this paper takes the Songgang Elementary School in Shenzhen City as the intervention settings and adopts the method of cluster sampling--that is to select one to two students from Grade One to Five as the research objects--and compares the intervention implementation of overweight/obesity detection rate and children's eating behaviors and the changes of physical activities after one school year. Results: 1.After one school year of intervention, the detection rate of school-age children overweight/obesity decreased from 27.4% before intervention to 17.6%.2.After one school year of intervention, dietary behaviors of school-age children changed in terms of diet structure, frequency of eating fruit, speed of eating, and consumption of western fast food.3.After one school year of intervention, the level of the school children's physical activities increased significantly, and the proportion of the children who take the weekly physical activities for more than 300 min increased from 61.4% to 72.6%.4.After one school year of intervention, the children have a better understanding of their own exercise.5.The attitudes of the teachers and parents towards physical activity levels of school-age children have been changed after one school year of intervention. The ratio of parents who ask their children to exercise "regularly" and "daily" increased from 42.75% to 82.74 %.The proportion of teachers who "never" encouraged children to do physical activities fell from 80.78% to 47.45%.6.The self-efficacy of the school-age children increased significantly after one school year of intervention. Conclusions: The comprehensive intervention, put forward in this research,is based on campus-led integration of families and individuals. It is effective in reducing the detection rate of overweight/obesity in school-age children;in addition, they also have obvious effect to improve the students' level of physical activities and their diet behaviors.
