With the enhancement of the role of knowledge production and innovation in the driving of high-quality economic and social development in universities,interdisciplinary knowledge production in universities has become an inevitable trend leading to supporting the construction of national innovation systems,tackling technological innovation problems,and solving complex social problems.As a key high-level university in the central and western regions,the joint construction of universities in the provinces and provinces places high expectations on these universities for their transformation and upgrading of the local economy.These universities are urgently required to break the traditional single-disciplinary knowledge production model and strengthen the construction of interdisciplinary innovation platforms and bases.Accelerate the research and innovation of cross-disciplinary cross-integration,integration of production and education,and shoulder the mission of traction industry upgrade and convergence of new kinetic energy for development.The question that this research wants to explore is,how can the co-constructed universities in the provinces and provinces transform from a single-disciplinary knowledge production mode to an interdisciplinary knowledge production mode?Based on Michael Gibbons' theory of knowledge production model,this study explores the inevitable trend of the transformation of universities from single-disciplinary knowledge production to interdisciplinary knowledge production,and analyzes the internal and external aspects of restricting the interdisciplinary knowledge of universities in provinces and universities.Factors and problems of production,and then take two foreign universities as examples to study the successful practice of interdisciplinary construction and knowledge production of the two universities,providing an important reference for exploring the development path of interdisciplinary research in the joint construction of universities in the provinces.The research found thatunder the discipline discipline system,a single discipline of knowledge production has a series of prominent problems,such as the failure to meet the needs for the training of composite talents,the scientific research needs of the era of big science,and the realistic needs of solving complex social problems,which restricts the university's Open innovation and quality improvement;while interdisciplinary knowledge production is driven by factors such as increasing natural and social complexity,deepening multi-disciplinary cross-development,and urgent social problem resolution,which has become an inevitable requirement for discipline construction and the ability to serve the society in universities.In order to enhance the competitiveness of disciplines and highlight the characteristics of running a school,relying on regional industrial development needs and resource advantages,jointly established universities in the provinces and provinces actively explored the disciplinary group with core disciplines as the core and promoted the development of interdisciplinary research.Outstanding characteristics.However,the discipline construction foundation of the joint-produced universities in the provinces and provinces is relatively weak,and there are external problems of inadequate management measures and inadequate levels of openness and innovation in cross-disciplinary construction.Internal problems such as lack of discipline ecological mechanism severely restrict the in-depth development of interdisciplinary construction in these universities.In order to find effective strategies to solve the problem,we deeply studied the background of interdisciplinary construction and organizational management methods of Aachen University of Technology in Germany and Arizona State University in the United States.We found that the two universities can promote the production and management of interdisciplinary knowledge.With multiple guarantee measures,socially-oriented research topics,and unique management models,the university has been deeply integrated into the national and regional economic and social development process,and hasplayed a role in driving and supporting social development.Finally,this study closely focuses on the problems of interdisciplinary construction of universities in provinces and provinces,and draws on the successful experience of interdisciplinary construction of two foreign universities,and proposes a series of targeted countermeasures.The innovations of this research are reflected in two aspects: First,interpret the interdisciplinary construction mechanism based on the theory of knowledge production mode,guide the provincial and provincial joint construction universities to fully understand the development of distinctive and high-level universities,and promote the necessity of interdisciplinary construction and knowledge production.Promote these colleges to break the path dependence of the construction of a single discipline with ultra-conventional measures,and promote the interdisciplinary construction with the courage of revolutionary change;the second is to deeply understand the process and system of the formation and development of a single discipline from the perspective of the discipline training system Recognizing the limitations and sturdiness of the construction of a single discipline in colleges and universities,laying a foundation for the full understanding of the arduous nature of the transition from a single-disciplinary construction model to a multi-disciplinary construction model in the joint construction of universities by provinces and provinces.
