Textbook is regarded as the main approach and carrier for systematically recording and disseminating domain knowledge.Most of traditional textbooks are managed in the form of print or digital documents.Due to the lack of relations and logical structure among knowledge,these plain texts are difficult for computer to interpret and apply effectively.Based on mathematical knowledge management theory and methods,the research on methods and techniques was carried out for fine-grained representing,organizing and managing knowledge and design a dynamic intelligent textbook system with linear algebra as a case study.With this textbook system,users could easily create,maintain,share and browse multimodal data,use cross-reference of textbooks or documents,automatically check the validity and completeness of textbook structure.Some problems on knowledge management are studied and solved during the process of realizing these features.With ontology as the representation of knowledge base schema and deep diving in knowledge's inner relations,three ontology classes were design: knowledge,resource and metadata and semantic relations among these classes to depict knowledge structure and store knowledge data in a graph database.By extracting,encapsulating,storing and visualizing of linear algebra textbooks,a knowledge base is built with fine-grained management of multi-perspective in knowledge relations.Based on the built knowledge base,an automated method of knowledge document generation upon knowledge data and relations was investigated and designed.It is useful for satisfying dynamic generation of textbook contents for different purposes and situations.Then an algorithm for automated validity detection of textbook structure was investigated and designed to meet the needs during textbook authoring.Besides,an approach for relation mining by analyzing knowledge data and relations was investigated and partially realized,which could be used for construction and quality improvement of knowledge bases,finally promote the intelligence of the textbook system.
