This paper focuses on the rapid development of the Internet game software development company(referred to as the game development company)and the 996 overtime culture commonly formed in the industry in recent years.The labor in the game company has the characteristics of digital "knowledge labor",and overtime culture can be regarded as a kind of labor exploitation under the words of Marx.Firstly,this paper describes the 996 overtime normalization of the game development company The current situation of the game development industry,combined with the external market and national factors,analyzes the causes of the overtime routinization.As an entertainment cultural and creative industry,the development of the game development industry has a unique market-oriented process.Under the joint influence of policy approval,public opinion,social training and flexible working hour system,the capital market,product market and labor service in the game development industry are the market factors Market characteristics together lead to the emergence of "rush mode",in order to cope with the fierce competitive environment;in national factors,the lack of law enforcement and the "abuse" of flexible working hour system contribute to the lack of supporting constraints on working hour protection.The overtime labor demand formed by the external environment is gradually internalized and agreed by the labor in the process of labor.This study focuses on the labor process,and examines the perspectives and actions of senior managers and ordinary IT workers.Managers arrange the organization and labor process,including how to do team work,how to rank the importance of skills,how to modify words to change the connotation of overtime,and how to reshape the labor ethics in the process of knowledge labor.In the actual labor process,in the experience,cooperative work,two kinds of time experience and project "making money" constantly form the fuzzy perception of overtime labor time;in the construction of legitimacy,digital knowledge workers reshape theirown evaluation,their relationship with the company,their own identity opportunities in the labor,so that overtime norms are constantly internalized,and overtime is voluntary is growing.But in the end,because of the characteristics of digital knowledge workers,they will question the leadership's strategic ability and efficiency management,or directly express their resistance by "voting with their feet".The higher the comprehensive knowledge quality,the more likely the workers are to form a "threat" to the company and show the responsibility to protect the labor rights and interests in the industry,but this resistance has not formed an effective result at present;A new way of unity and struggle combining the characteristics of information technology and platform is also creating a new possibility of labor rights protection.
