Task-Switching is an important indicator of the Cognitive flexibility subcomponent of Executive function in human advanced cognitive functions.It is expressed as "People face multiple cognitive tasks,The ability to flexibly switch between one cognitive task and another."eSport Gaming is a concept derived from video games.At the beginning of the 21 st century,some researchers found that action video games with the characteristics of e-sports games can help gamers develop a higher level of cognitive ability,including attention to the expansion of resource capacity and better mental rotation ability.As well as stronger cognitive control,subsequent studies have found that action video game training can effectively improve individual task switching capabilities.With the advent of e-sports in recent years,researchers have begun to explore the cognitive benefits of e-sports games based on a series of original researches related to video games.However,until now,there are relatively few empirical studies on the effects of existing e-sports games on task conversion capabilities.At this stage,are the e-sports games popular in our daily life the same as action video games,to a certain extent? Improving the individual's cognitive ability,whether different types of e-sports games have different effects on task switching ability remains to be further studied and explored.This study consists of two parts of experiments.In the first experiment,50 college students were selected as the research subjects.The size-parity conversion task was completed by comparing the multiplayer online game(MOBA)group with the blank control group.(odd shifting task)response time and reaction time conversion cost,to explore the effect of a single e-sports game on task switching ability;in experiment two,36 college students were selected as research subjects and randomly assigned to a multiplayer online game(MOBA)3,Rotating Card Game(TCG)Group and Sports Game(SPG)Group.After completing the corresponding type of e-sports game in 25-35 minutes,use the More-odd shifting task to measure the three groups.The task conversion ability was tested,and the EEG activity of the participants when completing the task conversion task was analyzed by event-related potential technology.The differences in the effects of three different types of e-sports games on the task conversion ability were compared.The results of Experiment 1 show that the conversion cost of the eSports game group is significantly smaller than that of the blank control group(p = 0.049),indicating that the esports game can have a positive effect on the individual's task conversion ability.Thebehavioral data results of experiment two show that three There was no significant difference in the responses of these subjects under repeated conditions,but the conversion cost of the TCG group was significantly greater than that of the SPG group and the MOBA group.The results of ERP data indicating that different types of e-sports games have different effects on task switching capabilities.Compared to TCG e-sports games,MOBA and SPG e-sports game experience can help individuals Quickly switch between old and new rules.
