Purpose:Executive function is closely related to our physical and mental health and plays an important role in our daily life. The disorders of executive function would make cognitive, emotional and social function become abnormal. The view that physical exercise as a kind of low cost,no side effect exercise can influence executive function actively has won the acceptance of most scholars.there were more researches about aerobic exercise, while less researches about resistance exercise. In addition, the current researches about resistance exercise have found that acute resistance exercise is effective interventions to improve executive function, but the results of the long-term resistance exercise is inconsistent.Accordingly, this study regards long-term exercise as a breakthrough point and uses Stroop task,N-back task,Flanker task and GO/no-go task to explore the effect of long-term resistance exercise on executive function and sort out the relationship between executive function and long-term resistant exercise.Method:25 Female college students in A East China Normal University which located in ShangHai were screened as data sources through the form of recruiting. All the participants performed 8 weeks of triple-weekly,moderate-intensity resistance exercise Under the guidance of the experimenter and performed the Stroop task,N-back task,Flanker task and GO/no-go task before and after exercise intervention.Paired sample t-test is used to compare the differences of reaction time and accuracy between before and after exercise. Results:In order to comparing the difference between before and after exercise,we used paired Sample t test to analysis these data. For Stroop task,we found that the accuracy after exercise is higher than the accuracy before exercise in the consistent condition of color-words significantly.the reaction time after exercise is shorter than the the reaction time before exercise in both consistent and inconsistent condition of color-words significantly; For N-back task,we found that the reaction time after exercise is shorter than the reaction time before exercise in both 0-back and 1-back task significantly; For Flanker task,we found that the accuracy after exercise is higher than the accuracy before exercise in the inconsistent condition of color-words significantly, and the reaction time after exercise is shorter than the reaction time before exercise in consistent condition of color-words significantly; For GO/no-go task, there was no significant difference in both accuracy and reaction time. Conclusions:The long-term resistance exercise could improve the female college students' executive function.
