The research on the topic of emergent writing has received a certain degree of attention across the world,but the research on the emergent writing environment is still in a poor and weak stage.At the same time,the emergent writing environment plays a vital role in the development of emergent writing for young children.At present,there are few special studies related to the emergent writing environment in our country.Therefore,this study selects ten kindergartens in Baoding City to try to examine the current status of the quality of the emergent writing environment of the class,analyze the main problems,and propose realistic and feasible strategies and suggestions for improving the quality of the emergent writing environment.This study uses “The Writing Resources and Interactions in Teaching Environments(WRITE)for preschool classrooms(WRITE)” designed by Gary E.Bingham(2012),which is a set of interaction scale that observe and measure emergent writing resources and emergent writing teaching.The study mainly use observation method to record the emergent writing environment of 42 classes in 10 kindergartens which are in different types and different levels.The study observed the status and problems of the emergent writing environment in kindergarten classes in five dimensions.This four dimensions are emergent writing materials,printing environment,teacher demonstration writing,teacher assisted writing,The study also compared the differences of emergent writing environment with various types of kindergartens and teachers who have different educational background.This study found that from the score of the environmental quality of emergent writing in the kindergarten,the physical environment is close to the middle level,and there is still a large gap between the psychological environment and the middle level;there are significant differences in the quality of the emergent writing environment of different types of kindergartens,and the writing environment of public kindergarten is better than the privatekindergarten.The higher the kindergarten level,the better the quality of the emergent writing environment;Teachers with different educational backgrounds have significant differences in the quality of the emergent writing environment in their classes.Based on the observations,the problems of the emergent writing environment of the kindergarten classes are summarized as six points: first,the teachers' understanding of the emergent writing is biased;second,the investment of emergent writing material of the kindergarten class is not enough;third,the kindergarten emphasizes the emergent reading environment but not the emergent writing environment;fourth,the creation of emergent writing environment in kindergarten lacks the participation of young children;fifth,preschool teachers lack effective guidance for emergent writing activities of young children;sixth,the emergent writing activities in kindergarten are poor and carried out in a single form.According to these problems,the researcher analyzed the causes of the above situation through observation,interviews and other research methods,and then summarized the two main aspects of the internal factors and the external factors of the kindergarten that will influence the emergent writing environment.The internal factors are mainly related the teachers themselves and the kindergarten;the external factors include the parents of children and the education department of government.For the existing problems of the emergent writing environment in kindergarten classes,the researchers put forward specific education suggestions to the education authorities,kindergarten principals,kindergarten teachers and kindergarten parents.It can better improve the quality of emergent writing environment of kindergarten.
