No matter what kind of sports they are,coaches and athletes believe that attention has a direct impact on sports performance.The good attention ability of athletes is the foundation for the final victory of the competition and the key to the effective implementation of sports skills.And self talk can help athletes to focus,enhance self-confidence,relieve competition anxiety,relieve tension,so as to improve their performance and score.The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of self-talk on dart performance of sports college students under the condition of distracted auditory attention.In this experiment,2×3 inter-group design was used.The independent variables were directive self talk and interfering sound.There are three levels of self talk---positive guiding self talk,negative guiding self talk,and no guiding self talk.The content of positive guiding self talk is "aiming at the bull's-eye".The content of negative guiding self talk is "don't miss the target".There is no relevant content for self talk without guidance.Two kinds of interfering sound exist,namely,the competition sound recording and the life sound recording.The subjects were college students majoring in Physical Education.120 students were selected randomly to participate in the experiment and were divided randomly into 6 groups,i.e.competition sound positive self talk group,competition sound negative self talk group,competition sound no self talk group;life sound positive self talk group,life sound negative self talk group,life sound no self talk group.The subjects were asked to complete the dart throwing task.The subjects threw 30 darts in total,10 at a time.The experiment contents of positive self talk group were as follows: 1.Throwing darts in quiet state did not use self talk,and the results of throwing in quiet state were recorded.2.The subjects were put on headphones with competition sound playing,and were let to throw darts under the condition of interfering sound,but not have self talk.Their throwing results under the condition of interfering sound were recorded.3.Under the condition of competition sound,the subjects threw darts while conducting positive guiding self talk,and the results of positive self talk were recorded.The experimental content and order of the life sound positive self-talk group and the competition sound positive self-talk group were identical,except the interference sound was different.The experiment contents of negative self talk group were as follows: 1.Throwingdarts in quiet state did not use self talk,and the results of throwing in quiet state were recorded.2.The subjects were put on headphones with competition sound playing,and were let to throw darts under the condition of interfering sound,but not have self talk.Their throwing results under the condition of interfering sound were recorded.3.Under the condition of competition sound,the subjects threw darts while conducting negative guiding self talk,and the results of negative self talk were recorded.The experimental content and order of the life sound negative self-talk group and the competition sound negative self-talk group were identical,except the interference sound was different.The experiment contents of the group no self talk group were as follows: 1.Throwing darts in quiet state did not use self talk,and the results of throwing in quiet state were recorded.2.The subjects were put on headphones with competition sound playing,and were let to throw darts under the condition of interfering sound,but not have self talk.Their throwing results under the condition of interfering sound were recorded.3.Under the condition of competition sound,the subjects did not have self talk and threw darts at the same time with the dart performance no self talk recorded.The content and order of the experiment were the same in the no self talk group under life sound and the no self talk group under competition sound,except the interference sound was different.The experimental results show that:1.The results of independent sample t-test show that there is a significant difference between the interference sound in the quiet state and the interference state,leading to a significant decline in dart performance.The results of paired sample t-test show that the interference sound effectively induces the attention dispersion of the subjects.2.The results of independent sample t-test show that,no matter what the interference conditions were,the darts performance of the subject was significantly improved by using positive self-talk regardless of the interference sound.And the darts performance of the subjects decreased significantly after using negative self-talk.3.The results of multivariate analysis of variance show the main effect of self talk was significant,the main effect of interference sound was not significant,the interaction between interference sound and positive guidance self talk was significant.The comparison within the group found that the positive guidance self talk performance was significantly higher than the non guidance self talk performance,and that the no guidance self talk performance was significantly higher than the negative guidance self talk performance.4.The result of simple effect test shows that the dart performance of positive guiding self talk is improved significantly under the condition of competition sound.Therefore,this study draws the following conclusions:1.The interfering sound selected in the study can effectively attract the attention of the subjects,reduce the performance of the darts,and continuously distract the attention of the subjects.2.No matter what kind of interference sound they are,positive guiding self talk has a regulatory effect,while negative guiding self talk has a negative effect.3.There is an interaction between interference sound and self talk.Positive instructional self talk has a greater impact on performance in the competition sound environment.Positive instructional self talk can effectively regulate the attention stability of subjects.4.The dart scores under positive guided self talk is higher than those under the negative guided self talk,whereas the result of the non guided self talk is better than that of the negative guided self talk.
