When a teaching method is applied to the practical teaching process,it is necessary not only to discuss the application form and strategy of the teaching method,but also to explore the effectiveness of the teaching method in the process of its application.Does it play an auxiliary role in the teaching of teachers? Is it helpful to students' study? Only when both of them are taken into account,can the teaching method be applied smoothly,scientifically and effectively.Problem-based instruction is wildly used in geography teaching of high school.When the problem-based teaching instruction is used,it is necessary not only to pay attention to its application mode,but also to study its effectiveness.This paper will discuss the solutions to the problems existing in the application of the teaching method.Then let the problem-based teaching instruction better assist the geography teaching in senior high school.This paper investigates the present situation of the implementation of geography problem-based teaching instruction in senior high school by means of questionnaire and interview.After investigation,it is found that there are some problems in this teaching method.First,there are some defects in the design of problems and the creation of situations.Second,there are some shortcomings in the implementation of the problem-based teaching instruction in the classroom.Third,students lack the enthusiasm and ability to discover,analyze and solve problems.The causes of these problems are analyzed from four levels: teachers,students,schools and families.This paper discusses the principles,requirements and strategies of effective teaching of problem-based instruction of geography in senior high school.The implementation strategies include improving teacher's professional literacy,focusing on the students' subjectivity,paying attention to the logic and hierarchy of problem setting,paying attention to cultivating students' awareness of problems,paying attention to classroom generative problems and open questions,paying attention to training students' geographical thinking and problem solving ability,improving students' autonomy in learning and so on.This article constructs the evaluation system of the effectiveness of problem-based instruction of geography in senior high school and draws up the evaluation scale of the research of the effectiveness of problem-based instruction of geography in senior high school,accordingto the principles of objectivity,science,comprehensiveness and maneuverability and the evaluating indicators of effect,effectiveness and efficiency.This paper uses empirical research method to design and implement class examples,then makes an analysis of the class examples.The purpose of this paper is to provide reference and suggestions for the effective evaluation of geography problem-based teaching instruction in senior high school and promote the problem-based teaching instruction to better serve the geography teaching in senior high school.
