<Biology Curriculum Standard for Senior High School(2017 Edition)> puts forward‘Scientific thinking' as the core accomplishment of biology discipline.Scientific thinking is to stimulate students' active thinking activities through effective teaching methods,so that they can respect scientific facts and evidence,and have a rigorous and pragmatic view of knowledge,and learn to use scientific thinking to understand things and solve problems.In order to cultivate students' ability of inductive generalization,model building,deductive reasoning,critical thinking and creative thinking,and so on.Argumentative teaching refers to a teaching mode based on argumentation theory,which requires teachers to guide students to find evidence based on data analysis,and build up their own opinions from it,and learn to question,refute or defend their own or others' opinions.It is beneficial to cultivate students' scientific thinking.Through the methods of literature analysis,questionnaire survey,teaching experimen t and so on,the research on how to cultivate students' scientific thinking in the teaching of biology in senior high school is carried out in this study.Through reading the relevant bo oks and analyzing the literature,this study summarizes the present situation of the researc h on argumentative teaching and scientific thinking at home and abroad,and defines the r elated concepts as well as the theoretical basis of the research.Second,according to the re quirements of scientific thinking training before and after the level of scientific thinking t est paper,and pre-test investigation;third,according to the model of argumentative teachi ng and drawing lessons from the experience of predecessors,put forward the teaching stra tegy of argumentative teaching and the formulation of teaching design;Fourth,carry out t eaching practice,post-test survey,and statistical analysis of the results of the survey;fifth ly,discuss the research results,put forward teaching suggestions,finally point out the sho rtcomings of the research and put forward the prospect.These work can provide some ref erence experience for middle school teachers to carry out argumentative teaching and cult ivate students' scientific thinking level.
