National identity refers to the recognition and acceptance of the identity,culture,history,politics and other contents of citizens who belong to a certain country,and the resulting sense of belonging and pride,thus forming a behavioral tendency to actively participate in national and social construction.As the speed of information communication speeds up and cultural exchanges become more frequent,national identity is impacted,which makes countries pay more attention to the practical issue of national identity.The primary school children are in the critical period of the transformation of heteronomy and self-discipline morality.Paying attention to the national identity education that students receive in school at this stage is helpful to understand the current situation of national identity education of primary school students in China,while the moral education textbooks bear the important task of national identity education.Therefore,for the latest version of moral education textbooks used in the whole country,the partial edition of moral education textbooks Content analysis with the rule of law textbooks can provide favorable data for the further optimization of national identity education in China.Based on this,this paper builds an analysis framework of national identity education content,and divides national identity into five first-level categories: identity,political identity,cultural identity,historical identity and geographical identity,and further subdivides them into fifteen second-level categories: citizenship,national consciousness,political subject,political norm,political process and procedure,political ideology,material culture,spiritual culture,institutional culture,behavior culture,historical figure,historical events,natural scenery,human landscape and territorial consciousness.With the help of this framework,this paper analyzes the content of national identity education in the textbooks of primary school morality and rule of law compiled by the Ministry of Education,and the results are as follows:First,the textbook of Morality and Rule of Law in primary schools edited by the Ministry of Education attaches great importance to the integration of national identity education content,which is reflected in the change of textbook name,theme arrangement and the quantity and distribution characteristics of national identity education content.The content arrangement of national identity education in textbooks presents grade characteristics as follows: the middle and low grades are mainly permeated,while the senior grades are mainly presented directly.Second,the textbooks of primary school moral and rule of law compiled by the Ministry of Education are rich in content of national identity education,especially the integration of political identity,which is reflected in 14 of the secondary categories of 15 national identity education content,and the proportion of political identity education content is the largest,which is consistent with its subject positioning.Third,the integration of national identity education content in the primary school moral andrule of law textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education fully relies on the text and column system,so as to improve the effectiveness of national identity education content,which is reflected in the complementarity between the text and column system,while "blank" is left in each column of the auxiliary system,which takes care of the subjectivity of students.In order to further optimize the implementation of national identity education,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the compilation and use of primary school moral and rule of law textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education.In terms of textbook compilation,it is necessary to add the small amount of national identity education categories,and strengthen the links between text and column system in order to maintain the continuity of national identity education.In the use of textbooks,teachers should improve their national identity literacy,pay attention to the design of text and column system in textbooks,pay attention to the development of national identity education content in textbooks,and then organize efficient national identity education activities.
