In recent years,as the number of college students has increased year by year,improving the quality of college students has become an urgent task for colleges and universities.However,in reality,the phenomenon of students' academic delays can often be seen.Therefore,it is necessary to discuss and analyze the academic delays of college students.In the current research on college students' academic delays,most of the researches use personality traits,time management tendencies,and task difficulty as influencing factors,and rarely discuss the cognitive aspects of college students themselves.Therefore,this study will start from the perspective of college students 'professional identification,use academic delay as the outcome variable,and use research methods such as literature research and empirical research to explore in depth the impact of professional identification on academic delay and whether the motivation for achievement will pass through college students' Professional identity has an impact on academic delay.This article first understands the academic delay of college students in recent years,and proposes the necessity of this study.Then,on the basis of the predecessors,a review of the three variables of college students 'professional identity,achievement motivation,and academic delay is carried out to clarify the relationship between the variables.At the same time,the theories related to this study are also introduced.Research lays a solid theoretical foundation.Afterwards,on the basis of summing up the predecessors,the research direction of this article was further clarified,the theoretical model was constructed and research hypotheses were proposed,combined with the existing scales of scholars,a questionnaire survey was conducted,and the distribution of questionnaires and the distribution of samples were briefly introduced..Finally,when processing and analyzing the data,the invalid questionnaire is eliminated and the reliability and validity of the valid questionnaire are analyzed to increase the accuracy and reliability of subsequent data analysis.Use SPSS22.0 and AMOS21.0 software to perform correlation analysis and regression analysis on the data to verify the hypothesis,and then from different aspects to avoid academic delays for college students,and make reasonable suggestions for better completion of academic goals.The research results of this paper mainly include:(1)The status quo of collegestudents' academic delay and the differences in demographic variables are as follows:Generally speaking,college students are slightly delayed in the division criteria.There is no significant difference in gender,source of birth,and whether there is only one child;there are significant differences in grades and school types;(2)The cognitive,emotional,behavioral,and appropriateness of professional identity have a significant negative effect on the delay of college students Predictive effect;(3)The pursuit of achievement motivation in achievement motivation has a negative and significant predictive effect on college students ' academic delay,and avoidance of failure motivation has a positive and significant predictive effect on college students 'academic delay;(4)Affecting academic delay,achievement motivation plays a partial intermediary role in professional identity and academic delay.The countermeasures and suggestions put forward are:(1)For college students themselves,they should improve their professional recognition from four aspects of cognition,affection,behavior and appropriateness,and at the same time,they should actively and reasonably plan the time,and then reduce The degree of academic delay and improve the quality of learning;(2)To strengthen the education and management of college students,colleges and universities should aim at improving the quality of talents,formulate corresponding teaching plans according to different majors,and improve the professional recognition of college students.Teachers should also reasonably arrange teaching tasks,formulate small goals for each stage,and communicate with students on the completion of their studies in a timely manner to effectively avoid delays in their studies.
