Activities Of "Yao Fund Basketball Season" On Promoting Physical Education Development In Rural Schools In Yunnan Province

As a relatively mature philanthropic foundation in China,Yao Foundation has successfully held eight consecutive sessions of its core public welfare "Hope Primary School Basketball Season" project.Dedicated to rural school sports in remote areas of China,Yao Foundation Basketball Season has carried out sports teaching activities in rural schools focusing on supporting teaching basketball with remarkable results.More than 1.15 million rural students have learned basketball skills,exercised physical fitness and cultivated good moral qualities during the basketball season.Therefore,this paper investigates the development of the Yao Foundation Basketball Season in Yunnan Province,analyzes the effectiveness of the Yao Foundation Basketball Season on the development of sports in rural hope schools in Yunnan Province,analyzes the deficiencies in the development of the Basketball Season activities for the Yao Foundation,and puts forward countermeasures to make the basketball season promote the development of physical education in rural schools in Yunnan Province better.Using the literature method,interview method,questionnaire survey method,field survey method,and mathematical statistics method,this article takes the development of physical education in rural schools in Yunnan Province promoted by the basketball season activities as research subject,teachers and students,volunteer teachers from 18 rural hope schools,staff from Dayi Fund,Yao Foundation and Yunnan Youth Development Foundation that participated in the 2019 Yao Foundation Basketball Season in Yunnan Province as the investigated subject,studies the development of Yao Foundation Basketball Season,the physical education in rural schools,the development of basketball in rural schools and the construction of sports culture in rural schools,finally concludes that:1.Founded in 2012,the Hope Primary School Basketball Season Project of Yao Foundation has been held for 8 times.The charity aid scope of the Basketball Season has basically covered the impoverished minority areas in the east,central and west ofChina,the old revolutionary base areas and the primary schools in the mountainous areas.At present,the Basketball Season has entered the stage of deepening and refining the reform to cooperate with the targeted poverty alleviation work,and the project assistance has achieved remarkable results.After the foundation was independently registered as the "Beijing Yao Foundation Public Welfare Foundation" in 2018,in aspects such as organizational structure,project operation,project promotion,and competition process,it has formed a relatively mature domestic model for reference.2.The Basketball Season Support Education Project implements the policy of targeted poverty alleviation.Improved the physical education hardware facilities in Yunnan Province;Effectively complemented the shortage of physical education teachers in rural schools.3.The volunteer teaching in Basketball Season has achieved the teaching effect of "Quaternity".That is to cultivate students' interest in sports,strengthen their physique,build their personality,and temper their will.It is mainly reflected in:Standardizing the teaching organization form of physical education;Changing the past "stocking" teaching of physical education;Reflecting the teaching concept of taking students as the main body;Enhancing the fun of teaching and improving students 'motivation for learning;Reasonably arranging classroom exercise density and exercise load to improve students' skill level and physical fitness.It lays a good foundation for students' lifelong PE learning and healthy life.4.The Activities of Basketball Season inherit the activity concept of "cultivating students with sports" and breeding a new hope.It is mainly reflected in: improving students' basketball skills and tactics during the basketball season support,driving school basketball competitions,standardizing school basketball competition activities,expanding the construction of Yunnan's basketball reserve talent team,and promoting rural school basketball development;During this period,students' ability to compete in competitions was improved,their horizons were broadened,and good qualities were cultivated.5.The Activities of Basketball Season promote the construction of sports culture in rural hope schools in Yunnan Province.It is mainly reflected in: school leaderspaid more attention to school physical education classes,improved the physical education classroom routines,sports work management system;promoted local ethnic sports activities,expanded extracurricular physical exercise programs,set up the school basketball team,carried out campus sports culture publicity activities,and promoted the school sports atmosphere.6.Defects of Yao Foundation Basketball Season in Promoting Physical Education Development in Rural Hope Schools in Yunnan Province: Inadequate basketball season leagues in Yunnan Province,insufficient professional level of physical education teachers in local hope schools,insufficient support time and number of volunteers,relatively few Yao Foundation Charity Teaching Program.
