Since the reform and development of the new curriculum of physical education and health,the teaching of physical education and health has undergone earth-shaking changes,and the curriculum concept of "health first" has been deeply rooted in the hearts of people.But the class size is severely overstaffed in areas with low economic development in China.Large class teaching not only does not help teachers to pay attention to the physical and mental health of each student,but also affects the teaching quality and even has potential safety hazards.The original physical education teaching method is single and boring.It only pays attention to the explanation and demonstration of sports knowledge and skills,and lacks the cultivation of students' interest in physical education learning and skills and tactics application ability.As a result,the interest in physical education learning,physical activities in class and skills and tactics application ability of large class students are generally low.Therefore,this study applies the sports education model to large classes of volleyball teaching in order to find a suitable teaching model for large classes of physical education and health,and improve the students' interest in physical education,physical activity level in class and the ability to apply techniques and tactics.This research mainly summarizes the current research situation of sports education mode and the current situation of large class physical education through the methods of literature review,questionnaire survey,observation experimentation and mathematical statistics.Two large classes of students in Grade 2017 and Senior Grade One of Fuzhou No.1 Middle School were randomly selected as the experimental objects.Among them,the volleyball teaching in the experimental class(63 students,including 32 boys and 31 girls)was conducted by using the sports education mode.In the control class(65 students,including 37 boys and 28 girls),the original teaching method was not changed,and 12 weeks experimental intervention was conducted.The experimental effect of the sports education mode was verified by the changes of students' interest in sports study,physical activity level in the class and application ability of volleyball techniques and tactics before and after the experiment.Through the above research,the following conclusions are obtained:1.The new form of teaching organization and the role-playing of sports education model are helpful to improve the level of sports active interest and sports participation of students in large classes in senior middle schools,but it has little effect on negative interest,autonomous and inquiry learning and attention to sports.2.Compared with the original physical education mode,the sports education mode's classroom condition,which is dominated by competitions and supplemented by skill exercises and physical exercises,is more conducive to improving the classroom sports load of high school large class students.3.The sports education mode helps large class students to learn and apply the volleyball techniques and tactics learned in the application situation of the competition,thus improving the application ability of volleyball techniques and tactics,and the male students have made obvious progress compared with the female students.
