Mathematics curriculum standards for compulsory education(2011 edition)takes "reasoning ability" as one of the ten core words,and makes certain modifications and positioning for "reasoning ability".Reasoning ability includes deductive reasoning ability and reasonable reasoning ability.Deductive reasoning is an important way of reasoning and the cultivation of deductive reasoning ability is an important goal of mathematics curriculum and teaching.The plasticity of elementary school students' mathematical thinking is very strong.This study took high level students from H primary school and C primary school in kunming as the research object,and comprehensively used the research methods of literature research,test investigation,case analysis and interview.This paper mainly studies four aspects: first,which teaching contents of elementary school mathematics textbooks are permeated with deductive reasoning;Second,the overall situation of pupils' mathematical deductive reasoning ability;Thirdly,whether there are significant differences in pupils' mathematical deductive reasoning ability in gender,grade and school;Fourth,how to teach the teaching content of mathematical deductive reasoning.This research mainly draws the following conclusions :(1)the four forms of deductive reasoning are involved in the primary school mathematics teaching materials,especially the relational reasoning and the three sections are widely distributed,the mathematical thought of deductive reasoning runs through the whole primary school stage,from easy to difficult,in line with the students' thinking development.(2)on the whole,the students' mathematical deductive reasoning ability of the two high quality schools reached the above average level.(3)there is no significant gender difference in students' mathematical deductive reasoning ability between the two quality schools,but the average score of girls in mathematical deductive reasoning is higher than that of boys;There is a significant difference in the scores of students' math deductive reasoning test in grade 5 and grade 6 of the two high quality schools.There was no significant difference in deductive reasoning ability between the two high quality schools,but the average score of deductive reasoning test in H primary school was higher than that in C primary school.(4)through the analysis of specific teaching cases,although teachers have permeated the thought of mathematical deductive reasoning in classroom teaching and will choose appropriate methods to promote students' experience of mathematical deductive reasoning,they do not explicitly tell students that the thought method of mathematical deductive reasoning is adopted to solve this problem.According to the conclusion of the research,the author puts forward some teaching Suggestions for improving students' ability of mathematical deductive reasoning :(1)teachers should be good at mining the teaching contents and examples of mathematical deductive reasoning contained in primary school mathematics textbooks;(2)attention should be paid to the level and stage of students' mathematical deduction;(3)teachers should pay attention to students' experience and comprehension of mathematical deductive reasoning in class.
