With the rapid improvement of China's comprehensive national strength,the quality of education and teaching has attracted more and more attention,and the professional development of teachers has become even more prominent.Middle-aged teachers have a long teaching practice time,rich teaching experience,skilled teaching skills,most of them are senior titles.In the growth of new teachers,middle-aged teachers can not only play a good role of demonstration,but also more effective guidance and help new teachers grow.However,the middle-aged teachers are getting older gradually,which brings with it difficulties in professional knowledge,professional ability and professional affection.Due to the constraints of subjective and objective conditions and the dual pressure of family and career,these rural middle school teachers are in dilemma.On the basis of the research literature,this paper deeply talked with three on-the-job teachers in rural junior middle school,analyzed the dilemma of middle-aged teachers' development,and looked for the root cause of the dilemma.Summarize and sort out the experience of the three teachers,and find the effective ways to help the middle-aged teachers out of the dilemma.This thesis consist of four parts:The first part is introduction.It mainly includes the reasons of topic election,research significance,literature review and research design.The second part is the series stories about three rural junior school teachers'professional development.Describe three middle-aged teachers' troubles in professional difficulties in knowledge,ability and affection.The third part is the manifestation and cause of rural junior school middle aged teachers' orifession troubles,through deep analysis of the three teachers,including multiple identity conflict,bad school condition and weak social and cultural environment.The forth part is about the suggestions to improve the plight of middle-aged teachers'profession.Teachers should improve their awareness of self-improvement and abilities.Schools should increase investment in fund and policy support.The whole social should also promote teachers' statue,build a changing evaluation system and advocate social respect for teachers.
