The number of Internet users in China has reached 829 million and the Internet penetration rate has reached 59.6 percent, according to the 43 rd statistical report on Internet development in China released by the China Internet network information center in 2019.With the rapid development of the Internet, the problem of Internet addiction among teenagers is becoming more and more prominent. Some studies have pointed out that the age of Internet addiction in China is 13-18 years old,and it usually starts at 13-14 years old.Internet addiction has brought a lot of negative effects on teenagers' interpersonal communication,self-esteem,learning and physical and mental development. In order to effectively prevent and intervene junior high school students' Internet addiction,it is very important to explore the influencing factors and mechanism of junior high school students' Internet addiction. This study summarized the research on childhood maltreatment, mindfulness, resilience, and Internet addiction.A sample of 903 junior middle school students in Henan Province were recruited to participate in this study, and they anonymously filled out questionnaires regarding childhood trauma, mindfulness, resilience, and internet addiction. The main purpose of the study was to explore the current status of childhood maltreatment, mindfulness, resilience, and Internet addiction in junior high school students,as well as the demographic differences among the variables, their correlations, and mechanisms of action. The main conclusions of this study were as follows:(1)Boys' scores of childhood abuse, resilience, and Internet addiction were significantly higher than those of girls;the mindfulness scores of second-year junior high school students were significantly higher than those of first-year and third-year junior high school students;the resilience scores of first-year junior high school students were significantly higher than third-year junior high school students;Internet addiction scores of second-year junior high school students were significantly higher than first-year junior high school students;urban students had a significantly higher total resilience than rural students.(2)childhood maltreatment was significantly negatively correlated with mindfulness and resilience, and positively correlated with internet addiction;mindfulness was significantly positively correlated with resilience and negatively correlated with internet addiction;resilience was significantly negatively correlated with internet addiction.(3)mindfulness had significant mediating effects between childhood maltreatment and Internet addiction in junior high school students.Resilience mediated the relationship between mindfulness and Internet addiction.Specifically, compared with the junior high school students with high mental resilience, the negative predictive effect of mindfulness on Internet addiction was more significant under the condition of low mental resilience. Therefore, the interaction model conformed to the exclusion hypothesis of "protection-protection model".
